3 pregnancies, 2 children, and pregnant with what we think are multiples! (Leigh)

Hi ladies! I am a (25 year old) mother of 2 right now, and pregnant for the 4Th time! We were pregnant with natural fraternal twins in 2004, but sadly lost them due to complications @ week 12. Now we are pretty sure we’re expecting twins again, if not more. We are both terrified and excited at the same time, it’s crazy!

I got a positive EPT on 3/19 then took 3 more because I thought they were lying to me. I had NO symptoms at all, which is odd for me. With my other 3 pregnancies I threw up if I even HEARD the word eggs & heaven help anyone within 5 feet of me if I smelled any kind of meat cooking.

I ended up in the ER 2 days later with spotting & cramps. They checked for a heartbeat, and found none. Since my periods are random I got an U/S to find out a due date & to check on baby. I hear this “Oh dear. I see 2 sacks but 1 may be a blood-pocket, so don’t worry if you have more bleeding.” I got no other information, and was terrified.

Well I got home and ended up searching the net for 7+ hours for blood pocket info. Then started freaking out about it, and then started relaxing when I saw that many women have had them and not lost their babies. Still I was/am scared and my OB couldn’t get me in until 4/26! I just want to know how many little humans I’m growing and if they’re OK.

I am 10 weeks along now and have gained 20lbs already! My 1st preg. I gained 13lbs, and got SM’s on my butt and breasts. #2 I gained maybe 15lbs and preg. ended at 12 weeks. #3 I gained 40lbs, became a Gestational Diabetic, expanded the SM’s on my butt (I couldn’t stop itching it) plus new ones on my thighs.

I think I am going to gain a lot more, and will probably get more SM’s, maybe even on my tummy this time. Being just 25, and having body image issue anyhow, I worry about it. Especially if it IS twins! I am scared to see the aftermath. What if hubby doesn’t want to touch me after? I already worry about that now, and have few stretch marks. :(

I want to share my some pictures with you all, and I plan to take a new picture every week to build a collage. Finding this site has helped me see that 1) I am NOT alone in my feelings & fears; 2) Bodies after birth are BEAUTIFUL, they really really are; and 3) Our bodies really don’t look as bad as we think they do!

Pic #2 – 8 weeks along with my son.
Pic #3 – 16 weeks along with my son.

I dunno, I am pretty sure its twins if not more, but that is just my opinion! Well thank you for reading this, and looking at my pictures. Hopefully I will keep taking pictures up until the end, and hopefully post partum as well to share!

I am updating from my previous entry here

I am ecstatic to announce the arrival of our son. He arrived vaginally, at home, 10#5oz, 22 1/2 and perfectly healthy. I have had 5 previous csections and have yet to even process the immense healing that has come and will come from this. I love this website and wanted to come here to share my story and God’s glory with all those who are seeking a VBAC of one sort or another, women contemplating UC or UBAC as well as women dealing with body issues. I have that I already seem myself as the most beatuiful woman in the world now. Seriously, I am SOOOO greatful for what my body has done, through all of my pregnancies and labors and birth and surgery. I am overjoyed!

Pregnant With 4th Baby (Kelly)

I’m 29 and this is my 5th pregnancy 1 miscarriage and 3 children. Ages 9, 7 and 3! I am 18 weeks pregnant in these pictures. I love my pregnant body even if it’s not perfect. There’s nothing more beautiful then a pregnant women. I may have got my mamas huge butt, but I was lucky enough to get her skin too. Women in my family don’t tend to get stretchmarks for some reason. I hope I have the courage to post my postpartum pics as well. I tend to gain alot of excess weight when I’m pregnant. I think all the women that post on here are amazing and beautiful!

More Changes (Sarah)

Since I submitted my story and pictures all that time ago I have been pregnant another two times. The first of those was stillborn in the middle trimester and recovering some sense of my body not being broken is very hard! I’m now pregnant again (my 6th pregnancy) and not far off due.

So much has changed, and changes day to day, it’s hard to know where to begin. But right now, I’m so grateful for all of the good – even though I still have hyperemesis through my pregnancies, even after losing three children, after *everything*. My two girls are amazing (they are four and two years old respectively). I’m looking forward to tandem nursing. And I love this bump, stretch marks and all. :)

32 1/2 Weeks Pregnant with Twins (Anonymous)

This is me last week, 32 and a half weeks pregnant with identical boys. This is my 6th pregnancy, we lost our first two, and I’ve carried 3 so far to term. These will be our fourth and fifth children. I’ve not had stretch marks before, and my belly pretty much went back to normal after the first two, and was just a bit less flat after my third. I’m afraid of what I’ll look like after this, but proud of my giant belly so far. I can’t wait to see how big is is in four more weeks, and to meet my boys!

4 babies by 22 has taken its toll on my body (Tanya)

Hello, my name is Tanya and I am 25 years old.
Just before I turned 16 I got pregnant. I was 110 ponds when I started my pregnancy and was 185 pounds at week 36 when I was induced due to pre-eclampsia. I had been swollen throughout most of my pregnancy but my urine tests showed that I had no protein in my urine and my blood pressure was ok. But at week 36 my blood pressure was 150/100. I was told that the baby needed to come out because if I had a seizure due to the high blood pressure it could harm my baby. My son was born at 6:30pm..and in the middle of the night I had a full blown seizure anyways and woke up in the intensive care unit. Luckily my boyfriend was staying in the room on one of those pull out couches. I was discharged after 7 days. My son weighed 5lbs 13 ounces. and had to be in the incubator and was tube fed due to the fact that he had no sucking reflex and was jaundiced. When I left the hospital I had gone from 185 pounds to 160. I got married to the father of my son 10 months later and we went on to have 3 more children. My first at 16, second at 18, 3rd at 21 and fourth at 22. I now weigh 210 and am overweight as well as have ALOT of loose hanging skin on my stomach and my abdominal muscles are separated…I hope to have this repaired at some point but I think I need to lose some weight on my own first. My skin did not hang like this until I had # 3. I hope that maybe someone else has a stomach that is similar to mine so they don’t feel like they are the only one and so I don’t feel like I am the only one with a stomach like this either. My kids are now almost 9, almost 7, 4.5, and 3.5 years..They are the light of my life and I love motherhood.

Mum to 3 boys and 1 girl (Anonymous)

Original entry here.

I had my little girl 7 weeks ago today. She was born 1 day after her due date. I let the Dr. induce me after he said “she’s going to be big, over 8lbs” so he broke my water and put me on a pit drip and after 4hrs of labor our 9lb 21″ girl was here! I gained 40lbs and have lost 22 already, that’s just with breastfeeding though. I haven’t had the energy to workout yet. When I do get back into a routine I hope to lose another 20lbs to fit back into my old jeans. I didn’t get any new stretch marks and the old ones are fading again. It is hard to look in the mirror and feel sexy or beautiful but maybe that will come again in time. I’m just amazed once again at what a woman’s body can do! I feel so very blessed to be given the chance once again to be pregnant and deliver and now nurse a healthy new life! I spend so much time now trying to think of ways to teach my girl to love herself and her body no matter what it looks like and teach my boys to honor the women who may come into their lives. Thank you again Bonnie for creating this site for everyone!

Pregnant with #6 (Anonymous)

This is me 8 months pregnant with baby number 6, who was born at home weighing 10#’s. I love being pregnant, I think the pregnant form is so beautiful. I gained 35 lbs. during my pregnancy but have only lost 10 lbs. since giving birth to her one year ago. I hope that when she slows down on the breastfeeding, the weight will start to drop. She nurses every 30 minutes-1 hour, so I am always hungry!!
