I had my son in 2008, and shortly after decided that I would pursue my dream of helping an infertile couple have a child. I met a wonderful couple in November, and by March 2009 we had contracts signed, and were moving ahead to transfer day! We transferred two embryo’s in May, (not my genetics) which resulted in a twin pregnancy. Twenty weeks later they found out they were expecting two girls! At the end of December 2009, I began to experience a severe headache, which eventually led to experiencing vision problems. I called 911, as my husband was out of town, and was on my way to the hospital shortly after. I was quickly diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and rushed in for an emergency c-section. Unfortunately the parents were not able to make it there on time, but they met their little ones shortly after.
I’m currently 5 weeks out from the c-section, and feeling pretty good. The incision still hurts when my little guy bounces on me, but I’m more or less back to daily activities. I think I was vacuuming a week and a half after, so I really didn’t have much ‘recovery’ time. I guess that’s to be expected when you have a little one at home! :)
The pictures really don’t do my stretch marks justice. They appear a bit darker in person. Although I had expected much worse in terms of sagging skin and stretch marks, I’m still pretty disappoint at the ‘overhang’ created above my scar. I’m REALLY hoping it somehow disappears :D

WHAT! Holy crap! You belly was flat in the first 2 pics…the day of your cesarean! That is amazing! I think it is such a great thing that you did…that was amazing of you, and you look amazing!
You look amazing! What you did for that couple is truly selfless. I really admire you.
i want your belly!
you look amazing! must be the good karma. i’m back to my pre-twin babies body, but it took me over a year to get there.
Oh my goodness! You look wonderful! And what a wonderful gift you gave them! God Bless you!
Wow! How on earth is it possible to look that amazing????? And to be a beautiful person inside and out. What a lucky boy your son is. Wish I had your tummy!! I have an overhang after 2 babies 2 years apart but I am 40 and I didn’t look that ever after a baby so I would imagine your overhang will go and the stretch marks will fade too. Already you look absolutely incredible.
God truly blessed you with a beautiful tummy after doing such an amazing thing for that couple.
After having twins, and only a month after in those pictures! LUCKY! you look great!
I’m really impressed by how flat your tummy is! One month postpartum with twins! Sheesh that’s AMAZING! You look amazing! That’s great that you helped out that couple! Blessings!
You look amazing for 5 weeks postpartum with twins. My twin girls are now going to be 10 months old, it’s been a not so easy road especially with me also having a son at home already.
As for the little pouch above your incision it goes down, i had that too for the longest but 10 months later i’m below my prepregnancy weight and you can hardly notice at all. the stretchmarks will also fade as well. Again you look awesome & with time & a little hard work your body will surely bounce back!! Congratulations and i admire your strength and everything you’ve gone to, especially to give a couple the joy of not just one but TWO babies!! your amazing! :D
You look amazing! How was your experience with being s surrogate? I am currently getting matched with a couple and I am so excited/nervous! You should be really proud of yourself, your body looks fantastic (can not believe you had twins)!
I think that your belly looks great. I have twins that will be 3 in April and i still have a tad of slag as i call it. I too had mine at 35 weeks 4 days because of pre-e. Your a very giving person to do this. I battled with infertility for many years before we had the twins. You have forver touched these people… Job well done!!!!
I am 32 weeks pregnant with a surrobaby at the moment! Way to go mama!! :D I hope you had a wonderful journey!!
You look AMAZING!!! Seriously other than the csection scar, you would never know you just had a baby, let alone twins!!!
I was also a gestational surrogate after having 2 children of my own, and right after I delivered my surrobabe, I became pregnant with my third (a little oops, but a good one). I think you look great. I have an overhang as well…I think it’s the part I hate most about having been pregnant. But I am learning to accept it for what it is. Thanks for sharing!
OMG! You look great! I am in shock! I wish I could say I looked even half that good after 5 weeks pp with a singleton.
I’m so incredibly jealous of how fabulous you look 12 HOURS after your C. My tummy looked like an deflated balloon for at least two months. Holy crap, I don’t think my belly looks that good now and my twins are 4!
Whoa, my belly did not hold up that well after my surro twins! LOL
You look amazing!!
Wow, you look amazing for having twins. Truly blessed. I am currently 35w with my 4th surro babe. This one is a sibling to my last one. Nice to see other surro’s around.
