I would follow. I don’t have suggestions on what you could say, but I like the idea of opening one because so many people seem to use twitter nowadays and it’d be a good way to spread the word even further.

I don’t follow anything on Twitter, lol, it seems kind of weird. I guess it works for the “popular” crowd and I’ve just never been that person. So I’d worry if I had enough to Tweet about also.

Like the previous commenter said, the blog speaks volumes. BUT Twitter is more personal and about you. Like what you are doing this very moment or how crowded the grocery store is. And that should be a personal choice if you want us to know about your daily life. :)
    …maybe do a poll.

I have never even looked at twitter, and it really doesn’t interest me, so…. I wouldn’t follow it. However, I do check this site daily!

You should go for it. Just start posting when you have a new blog or site feature. You may be surprised when people start talking back to you, or it may fall flat. You can set up facebook and twitter to work together so that they both show the same status updates without having to do any more work.

Just because there is a little interest and requests for a Twitter account, I would consider it. It doesn’t matter if the others won’t follow, its more about getting even more flow and awareness to your website. What was mentioned earlier about connecting Facebook and Twitter would be a great shortcut too. I think Twitter would be a great new little hobby. There are millions that love Ellen and Oprah on Twitter, and you will be surprised how many will follow you.

I agree with Alicia…more activity means more awareness. I think you would have plenty to tweet about, even if you stick to the premise of this website. Everywhere you go you see moms…shopping, dealing with tantrums (kids and their own!), eating out…there are moms everywhere and so many thoughts and activities to go with each one. What better way to bring awareness to the shapes of mothers then by seeing it in it’s day to day form? I think it’s worth it…and hey, if it doesn’t work out then so what??? Carpe Diem!

I don’t do twitter because I just don’t get it… That said, as a previous submitter, I don’t know what you would “tweet” about. Would you tweet about recent submissions, like advertising the new stories? That seems a little… creepy. I love SOAM because it feels like a safe place. And as much as I want people to know about this safe place, I wouldn’t want these personal stories flaunted to the internet-public-at-large. But maybe I’m totally misjudging this because, as I said, the twitter obsession boggles me.

no, twitter doesn’t interest me. I actually think twitter is kind of weird. Don’t people have better things to do than post tid bits of their daily lives ever 4-6 hours? And don’t people have better things to do than read about it? I loooooove your site- I’m sad when’s theres no new post…lol but I don’t get what direction you’d go with twitter.
