First Baby at 19… (Anonymous)

First Baby at 19, worried if everything will go back the way it was

im 38 weeks pregnant with my first baby and couldnt be more excited to meet my baby girl. 2 days ago i noticed my first stretch marks… i must have cried for about an hour. i feel very lucky to have gotten them only in the last 2-3 weeks but im worried if they will fade, if i’ll ever feel sexy again, and if i will feel self concious about them everytime i look in the mirror. I’ve seen alot worse stretch marks and they’re probley not as bad as i think they are but it just sucks….. im sure though when i have my baby girl in my arms it will all be worth it. coment and tell me what you think, if you think they will fade, and if they’re as horrible as i think they are or if i’m just over-reacting to nothing… thanks.

They will fade. I got stretchmarks just like yours with my third pregnancy and 14 months later they are almost completely invisible (they’ve been silvery and faded for several months now).
You look beautiful. Blessed birthing to you~

I was your age when my son was born (he’s 5 now) and I got stretch marks in the exact same place at the exact same stage of pregnancy, I didn’t even notice them until someone pointed them out to me because they were on the bottom of my belly so I couldn’t see them, haha.

I’m happy to tell you that they’ve faded now and are barely noticeable. They’re still there if you look closely, but they don’t bother me a bit. I cried the first time I saw them, too. Don’t worry hun, it won’t be as bad as you think!

Don’t worry, they are NOTHING! And if you’re that worried, use a cream called “Striae”. It is not used to prevent marks, it is used to help them heal. It worked for me! i started using it when my son was about 18 months and I was pregnant with my daughter. I got no new marks with her and the ones I have from my son are practically non existant. Also, DO NOT expose them to the sun for at least a year or they will turn a brownish color. Best of luck and congratulations!!

I had stretch marks with my son, too and they have faded considerably. :) There is hope!

I just LOVE the photo of your hands creating a heart over your baby-swollen belly! It tells me just how much you already love your unborn daughter. Congratulations and happy birthing.

They are so tiny they’ll be gone before you know it. Plus once your daughter is in your life you’ll look at them and smile. I know I do :D

    Hi!
I would like to say you are blessed to have the little stretch marks that you do because Mine are worse and darker.
    You’re fine, you look great!
I only wish I looked the way you do.
In my opinion they will fade.
I say to myself even tho I still cry because of my stretch, if stretch marks are meant to be there they will and if not then AMEN.LOL.

    TAKE CARE!
