I’m 20 years old, almost 21 and I use to be 110 pounds and very confident. I gave birth 10 months ago and I feel quite depressed about my body. I don’t fit into any of my old clothes, I am 20 pounds heavier than what I use to be. I want to enjoy this summer with my beautiful son but I am afraid of wearing shorts or anything not baggy. Everyone use to tell me to give it 9 months to get back to your old self well I see no difference. My boobs have sagged, I have stretch marks on my hips and underneath my butt. I see celebrities get back to being perfect after 3 months… yet I can’t seem to even with dieting and exercising…. hopefully someday
20 years old
1 Pregnancy 1 birth
10 month old baby and 10 months pp
um, im confused…are these pics before or after the baby? If these are after you should get on you knees and thank your lucky stars that you can look this good EVER, let alone after a baby. I cant even imagine how you could get 20 pounds off that frame. I guess being young helps too, i am 31 and its a whole different story for me. Still its hard to accept the small changes that seem nagative to you even though everyone else says “you still look good” You want to say, but I used to look GREAT. I had killer-stop traffic- could wear anything short- legs before baby and now I have cellulite and wide thighs. They dont look bad at all, but they will never stop traffic again. Its hard, especially when you look good because then people have no sympathy for you.
umm gee yeah you can wear a bikini, your tall and skinny HELLO!!! I hate you! LOL..jk
you look great, who cares if your boobs sagged, thats what boobs do! lol
all the pics of celebrities in magazines are airbrushed.
You look fantastic. Wear your bikini with pride!! I know the extra weight and body changes takes getting used to after giving birth, but you honestly look so beautiful. I’m jealous, haha.
I am confused myself. B/c if these are postpartum pics you sure are in a bikini now. I am almost 3 mos pospartum and hope to be able to look like that at 10 mos postpartum.
r these before? or after? you look amazing. and i see no stretch marks.
Your body is AMAZING!!!! Beautiful curves and SLIM, congratulations on your baby and if I was you I would live in a bikini!
the thing to try and remember is that people who see you at the beach don’t know how you looked before you had a baby. They just see a smokin’ hot woman swimming with a little boy…. and judging by how you look, they’ll probably wonder if you’re a MILF or a baby-sitter…
oh and also, celebrities dont get into perfect shape either, they use surgery, and photoshopping. They are no more real than your photo. Which is stunning i wouldnt beleive you if you told me you had a baby. In my eyes you look perfect and if thats the shape you’ve been blessed with by motherhood, then stand tall cause you got it goin on.
You look good. However, I just want to tell you this (it has taking me years to accept it and realize it):
Do not live your life feeling down just because you can or cannot wear a bikini. That should not rule your life or how you feel. There are better things in life than wearing a bikini. If you can (as I can see in your pic) go ahead. If you cant or dont want wear something more appropiate for you. Nobody says you HAVE to wear a bikini. At this point in my life, I think I could pull off a bikini but you know what? I dont want to…I have decided that my body is for my husband to see and only him. This is my gift for him. So in my life, just because I can doesnt mean I will. I am not saying this should work for you too. I am just sharing my experience. Because after I finally realized that I will spend just a few days a year (I dont live near the ocean) at the beach I should not let the “bikini ready” affect my everyday life. The pressure for me is off…I dont need…I rather enjoy life…and chocolate too ;)
are you sure these are AFTER baby pics?? most women would love to look like this BEFORE baby…
Wow you look amazing! Killer body, and I literally cannot tell you have had a child. Please be thankful for what you have because I am sure so many women, even women who have never had children, would kill to look like you.
It really makes you wonder what the world is coming to when a girl with such a beautiful figure can look into a mirror and think she looks bad.
Are these the befores?
You should read the post “Every Little Bird” that was posted today, the same day as your posting.
I completely understand. I also had a drop dead goreous body then, first couple of times I had sex and a year later, i was carring a baby in my arms and married at the age of 21. I think the hardest part for me was making that transition of being independent mamasita to dependent “mama, see that”(she’s 1.5 now). That and i think media puts a bad image that moms dont have rockin bodies. Cuz they do!
Im 5’4, and 115, used to be 107, I lost most the weight, but my boobs left too, which makes my extra skin around my stomach look funny(no stretch marks either). You have gorgeous body and look better than most women that nvr had kids. I just wish I could have my boobies back and this lil pooch on my stomach gone! If you find a good excercise that works for you, let me know cuz i wanna try
if these pictures arnt from before having your baby, than you need help. you have a wonderful body i dont know how you could see yourself as anything else but beautiful.
You look incredible. I am nineteen weeks pregnant, age 34, and am starting to wonder if I’ll get back to my original slim self. But you know what? It takes time, and I’ll tell you something else–very few women don’t have stretch marks. I have yet to give birth, yet a rapid growth spurt during puberty gave me a fair smattering of stretch marks on my hips and inner thighs. My husband? He had them on his shoulders and hips from years of teenage bodybuilding. It’s the last thing I notice about his appearance, to be honest. And let me tell you, fashion models don’t get a free pass. Last summer I happened to be staying at a hotel where a photoshoot was taking place, and couldn’t help but notice the models had stretch marks on their hips and legs.
If you want to fade them, you might want to try a derma-roller, but if I looked like you, I’d be walking around in a bikini in the middle of November–to heck with a few stripes on my skin.
I would KILLLLL to look like you, there is not one tiny, minute, ridiculous thing i could find to say is “wrong” with you. I dont know a strait man alive who wouldnt want you. Take a look around at the beach, do many of the other women look like you? not at my beach.. I hope you can like yourself again, its important for a woman to feel alluring and sexy..at least for me it is. All that stuff about love your body for what it can do and nurse babies everything doesnt do it for me. I do love my body for those things but it doesnt make me like the way I look.
Surely these are the before shots… if these are the after shots then you must be the most blessed mum of all time. You look absolutely stunning – not a single stretch mark or piece of saggy skin, and you have to be kidding me if you think those breasts are saggy.
As someone else said, if I looked like that I would be living in a bikini! It doesn’t even look as though you have ever housed a baby in there.

You said “all that stuff about love your body for what it can do and nurse babies… doesn’t do it for me.”
What does “do it for you?”
I also do not love myself and my body because of nursing, but certainly I love it for what it can do. Like breathe, and walk… and hike and swim, and snowboard, and carry 10# babies to term, and f**k, and hold hands, and kiss, and hold my grandmother and touch the cold skin of my dead grandfather, and the warm embrace of my lover, and the leisurely stroll with my children, and yoga and walking. I also love that my mind is sharp, and finds freedom in education and advancement in my own life and in the progression of human kind.
I love my body because of many things… certainly not simply for the aesthetic standard of a media driven culture.
I mean…what do you want to look like??…
I don’t see any stretch marks, and I think you must have looked too thin if you used to be 20lbs lighter.
Stacy:
When I said that I meant that appreciating all the things my body can DO makes me feel happy and grateful for my health. But it doesnt help with my self esteem when it comes to body image. It doesnt make me feel beautiful. God forbid I am honest and admit that yes, I want to look good, I want to be percieved as attractive. Maybe many women on this site have risen above that, and they dont care what they look like on the outside, but I do. I’m not going to pretend its not hard to consider yourself beautiful before you had a baby and now look in the mirror and not like what you see. And you know what? everybody who says they dont need looks to feel beautiful if they were given the chance to look like the poster here would everyone say no?
Anon, I think it’s more about expanding your idea of beauty than it is not caring about looks. I DO care about the way I look, but I will NOT allow myself to feel badly about myself because I have stretchmarks or a belly that sags. It’s a lot of work, yes. And it’s worth it. For me and for my children.
I sometimes wonder if our western culture has too much time on our hands. If someone can find such tremendous “fault” with a body like this, how much time must they spend contemplating it? People are dying from starvation, disease, poverty, and on and on all over the world and we (myself included) sit here staring at ourselves in the mirror.
I agree with karla and kumiko said!! Um don’t even know why you are saying you can’t wear a bikini are you not wearing one in the picture? You do look amazing why are you downing yourself?
I wish my body looked like this after having a baby!!!! I have a skin flap that hangs down over everything and boobs that flap around and hang down, too!!! OH yea and I have stretch marks covering everything.
That is one hot bod and I’d love to have it!
I think you might be confused about your body! You look fantastic, there are tons of women of various shapes and sizes that CAN wear bikini’s and you my dear have NOTHING to worry about.
I am a mother of two, I am 27 years old and prior to having my two children I too weighed a whoppin 110lbs. (I was also 19!) I now am about 15lbs heavier than I ever was and even though I KNOW I look GREAT and can wear what I want, I still have that nagging feeling inside that says “Your not how you used to be!” It’s hard to change your image, but we all change over time. We get scars, gain and loose weight, have children. It’s just a part of growing up.
I say ROCK THE BIKINI whenever you can. I plan on doing it, even if my tummy isn’t as FLAT as it once was and if I have a few more stretch marks then I ever have.
Be confident!
Embrace your new beautiful body.
You look amazing!
ok seriously i am the same age and have 2 kids and i would seriously kill i mean KILL to have a body like that again. I am 150 and have stretch marks from the top of my abdomen all the way down to the back of my calfs. You look AMAZING. i am so ashamed to go out in public in a bikini i wear t shirts over my suit and i suck in as much as i can but i still have a belly that hangs out. I caught my man looking and talking to much hotter women than me and it made things that much worse. before pregnancy i was 130 5.7.. and gorgeous now not so much be proud of your body and be very thankful there are people out there who would die to look like you
i will repeat what many others have said are these really after baby pics? cuz you look gorgeous and i would give anything to look like that.
If my girlfriend after three children can be a naturalist, you can definitely wear a bikini dear!
I know this is a very old post but you and I have the same exact body and I feel the same exact way. I was 109 before having children, now I have a 4 and 2 year old, I’m 23 and I weigh 126. Everyone tells me I don’t even look like I’ve had children but I disagree, I just miss being teeny tiny have having perky breast. We even have stretch marks in the same places from where you say yours are. The thing is you look amazing in your pics, I think we are just too critical of ourselves and want perfection considering we both used to be a size 0.
