My Mommy Body – Update (Anonymous)

This is an update to my March 2007 post.

I am 25 years old. I got pregnant with my daughter just 2 months after my previous post. My little girl is now 2, and my son is 3. I lost all of the weight from her. I am just 10lbs heavier than before we conceived my son. That 10lbs is just hanging around my midsection. Literally…hanging. The stretchmarks don’t bother me so much anymore, they’ve faded quite a bit. I just hate the saggy skin. I look at pictures of myself before I got pregnant, when I thought I was just sooooo fat. I often think to myself “Wow, I wish I was that ‘fat’ again!!”.

My boobs have unfortunately always been that large (36F at last fitting before kids). They grew consistently for 5 years in my late teens. I was horrified that they would just grow and grow throughout my pregnancy. Luckily they didn’t! I’m researching breast reduction at the moment and if our insurance will pay for the procedure. I have 3 vertebrae in my back that have no cartilage left between them.

I had a little devil tattoo on my lower tummy that I thought was adorable at 16. Well after 2 kids, he’s now permanently giving himself a BJ (see picture). These pics are 2yrs postpartum.

hahahaha….I love the BJ comment! Your proportions look great; you have good curves, great boobs (I’m a 38DD and mine are WAY saggier than yours!).

I’m only a DD and I want a reduction when I can afford it. You look great and your boobs are way perkier than mine. But I do understand wanting a reduction. It’s hard on your back and it’s all anyone ever sees a lot of the time.

you look great! I totally understand where you’re coming from with the boobs being a pain in the neck literally! I had a breast reduction after a few years of physical therapy. I actaully posted the “after” pictures on the site…you can probably find it by searching cosmetic surgery. I cant tell you it’s the best thing I’ve done. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders (no pun intended). If you’re grappling with the pain and seriously considering a reduction you might want to talk to your doctor. In my case it was paid for in full by insurance. I wish you the best of luck!

I just had my baby girl 13 months after my son via c-section and I’m in the same position as you. My body looks a lot similar except my boobs are a lot smaller. My daughter was 10lbs and 5 ounces so I got a little stretched out. Its really comforting to see someone else’s body going through the same problems as mine.

With me, I was like you and always thought I should lose weight – my skin was so taught then compared to now. But I think I really do love my body more now than back then. I appreciate everything it has done for me. I feel like maybe I have an excuse now for it not being perfect – my beautiful daughter and birthing her into the world and nursing her for 2.5 years. It was so worth it.

You look fabulous by the way! I hope you get your breast reduction. You will feel so much better. I pray that the surgery goes well! :)

I feel your pain. My breast are 36DDD and my back hurts constantly. I have a 2yr old daughter and a 3 month old son. My breast have always been large and have not increased in size much with my second pregnancy. Your breast’s are beautiful and your legs look great!!!
