Mother of 6: Story and Photos UPDATE (Stacy)

Previous entries here and here.

~Age: 29
~Number of pregnancies and births: 6
~The age of your children, or how far postpartum you are: 11, 7, 5, 4, 2, 18 months

I have come along way in my acceptance of myself as a vibrant, powerful human with a purpose. I have discovered that purpose is to love myself, and others. My body acting merely as an expression of that love, marred by marks, like nails through the palms, to indicate sacrifice and willingness. I love what I have been given so much, that I have no choice but to express it in every way possible; including being comfortable enough in my own skin to expose it.

Updated here.

You amaze me! First of all, you look great! I have had 2 cesareans, and I REALLY want my next child to be a home/or at least, natural birth. How did you find someone to agree to it? I need some advice there!

What a cool post and gorgeous pictures!! I would love to have a big family too although I think my “clock” may punk out on me before I have too many more. Who took these pics of you??? Your skin and the rocks both have a wonderful texture to them. Well done on your family and your body:)

@ Shannon, if you have not already, contact your local chapter of ICAN and start asking around to find providers. It depends greatly on finding a provider that is willing to attend TOL for a VBA2C, but it is possible!!! And the statistics show overwhelmingly that vbac, even after multiple CS, is safe in many many cases. I am lucky to live in the Atlanta area and we have several choices for vbac friendly providers. I am a vbac mother and am really active with ICAN and would love to talk with you about this:) rootcat@yahoo.com
