Good Genes (Anonymous)

I hesitated for a few days before submitting my pictures. I love this website, I love all the pictures I found here – of all breathtakingly beautiful mothers. I almost feel like I was cheated out of something. I… look good. My pre-pregnancy body just came back, on its own, without any diet, without any exercise – I can’t take any credit for it whatsoever. Not a single stretch mark, no extra skin around my belly. I weigh slightly less than pre-preg. I lost my boobs along the way, too, and who knows what’s going to happen to them once I stop breastfeeding. My daughter will be 3 years old soon. I want to let her decide when she’s ready to move on. I was 31 when I gave birth – it was quick and intense, at home with my husband and 2 midwives. My only child so far – my beautiful, brilliant, witty daughter. We want to start trying for another baby soon. My Mom was 39 when she gave birth to my youngest brother. There are 3 of us. My Mom has no stretch marks either and has been slim all her life. It’s in the genes, I guess… The first picture was taken at 37 weeks. My daughter is 3 months old on the second one. I AM sucking my tummy in on this one. The last two are from today. 32 months later. I can’t remember when my body became this way – some 7-8 months post partum, I think. Warmest greeting to All Mothers…

You look great! No, you shouldn’t have hesitated. It’s great to have good genes! I wish I had the one for no stretchmarks. I had those things at puberty! Luckily I got very few from pregnancy. It’s great to have people with “good genes” post here… especially if they aren’t cocky or rude about it lol! :D

I would love to have had my body bounce right back after birth of my child. but you look great for having a kid,I don’t even see stretch marks. My son is 10 months old exactly and I still have loose skin and chucky stuff lol but hey I am loosing weight slowly but surely.

You are very fortunate to have a beautiful tummy and no stretch marks. But then again, all of us who have created life are also beautiful, because of what our bodies have done. Having said that, though, I have to admit I’m a bit jealous of your good genes. You look lovely!

I felt guilty when I submitted my pics too, because my body “bounced back” really well also. But, this is a site for ALL mothers, not just the mothers who have flabby tummies or floppy breasts or stretch marks. It would be hypocritical for the message of the site to be that we should appreciate ALL bodies and then not let the skinny girls in. ;)

You look really great! Your pregnant shot was really cute too.

Hey Girl! Don’t EVER let someone make you feel bad for having good genes! Some of us fair better than others (not myself, but I am learning to be a healthier, happier person while I work on that). Good on you for being proud to post!

my body bounced back with my first pregnancy too. no diet or exercise.

i started at 130 and went up to 180. 5 months after he was born i was down to 125 no sagging skin or stretch marks. i got pregnant again when he was 9 months and went up to 180 again. this time i am having a harder time bouncing back.

he is 7 weeks now and i am afraid i am pregnant again. which would be hard for me b/c i am still 30 lbs over prepregnancy weight and don’t know how i would ever get my body back being pregnant again so soon.

U LOOK FANTASTIC! I THINK FEMALES ARE MORE PRONE TO HAVE STRETCH MARKS IF THEY GET PREGNANT VERY YOUNG, THAN THOSE WHO GET PREGNANT AT A MORE MATURE AGE, MY SISTER GOT PREGNAT AT 25, DON’T HAVE STRETCH MARKS, I GOT PREGNANT AT 22, DON’T HAVE THEM EITHER, MY OTHER TWO SISTERS GOT PREGNANT ON THEIR TEENS AND HAVE A LOT OF STRETCH MARKS. I THINK YOUNG FEMALE BODIES ARE STILL IN THE DEVELOPMENT STATION AND THEREFORE MORE PRONE TO STRETCH MARKS IF PREGNANT. BUT ONE THING IS FOR SURE, WE ARE ALL BLESSED WITH HAVING A MIRACLE!
