12 Weeks After pregnancy #2 (Anonymous)

here is me 12 weeks after my second delivery. i was pregnant with boy/girl twins the first time and sadly we lost our beautiful baby girl 3 weeks after they were born (prematurely). i got pregnant again about 6 weeks after we brought our son home from the hospital. 12 weeks ago i gave birth to a beautiful, healthy full term baby girl. my body isn’t what it was (i was 115 lbs when i started and now i am down to 135) but who cares?! a healthy baby is all that matters…i learned that the hard way…

You are beautiful. I’m so sorry for your loss. I also lost a baby girl from a set of twins and I know how difficult that can be. There is a new book out by Elizabeth McCracken, ‘An exact replica of a figment of my imagination’, which does beautiful justice to the reality of infant loss.

    Congratulations on your new baby!

You are beautiful. I am very sorry for the loss of your precious baby and in the same breath, so happy that you have 2 healthy babies still in this world.

hi – you do look so good – and i am so sorry for your loss. in 2003 i lost one of my identical twin girls – she was stillborn, they were born at 23 weeks. i popped back pretty well, but would rather have been covered head to toe in stretch marks and loose skin to have BOTH my daughters. another good book for twin loss is “always my twin” by valerie samuels. good luck to you and your family!
