Natural Beauty (Anonymous)

Feeling down about my not so picture perfect body I decided to take some pictures of myself. Not from flattering angles, not sucking in, not standing up. This is me, with my belly hanging out, my stretch marks, my soft bottom and legs, and less than perky breasts from feeding my child (and still am). I am not skinny, I am not smooth, I am no longer toned, I have bulges and wrinkles, but I am a mom and I am beautiful!

your middle picture made me smile. That is my least flattering way to “pose” and I loved that you did it. Thanks so much for loving yourself. You are an inspiration and I appreciate it.

I love the side on belly pic as it shows how a real tummy looks after carrying a baby. Mine is the same and getting looser the thinner I get. I think a few people snap back but most of us are left with the proof that we are Mothers and to be honest I’m proud of my little pooch. The media needs to get over itself and stop dictating to people how they should live/look/earn/etc.

I just want to say that I love your body, and these photos literally brought me to (happy) tears. It was like looking at myself!!! I am 24 and I have 2 wonderful children. Your pictures have made me realize that I am not the only one who looks like this, I am normal!!!! I have unrealistic and unreachable goals for myself thanks to all the Jessica Alba’s in the media who look perfect 2 days after having a baby, and I am done being disappointed in myself for not looking like an airbrushed supermodel.

I think you need to take another look at your photographs, what you describe is not what I see at all. I see a thin, pretty woman, natural, the way were all meant to be XX
