Bun in the Oven (Jeannie Roshar)

When I was pregnant, I felt like men stopped looking at me as a woman. They even talked to me differently. Sometimes, they would talk to me like I was something “dear” that needed protection. That didn’t bother me so much, I mean, it’s sweet and of course we should protect and honor all of our mothers-to-be. But, what really bothered me was men would seem physically uncomfortable around me. Some even seemed grossed out! This made me really irritated, I mean, where do they think they came from? Well, since I’m a comedienne, I had to do something about it. So I got 4 other pregnant women and we made a raunchy rap video to stick it to them! Not safe for work and raunchy, so don’t watch it around kids, but I hope you enjoy!

~It may look airbrushed, but it’s not. We had good lighting! Makes all the difference!!!
~Number of pregnancies and births: 1st pregnancy/birth for three of us, 2nd for one and 4th for one!

This is great! I too feel that men are kind of disgusted by a pregnant women, and they look at you funny.

I DISAGREE totally! Some men may seem “disgusted”, but I’m a mommy of two and got hit on, checked out, complimented more then, compared to when I was pre-child birth! I had someone tell me once, “the a pregnant swollen belly is a sign of fetility and sexuality”, which is actually what men look for. (most anyways)
Hint why they love curvy bodies and large breasts.
Although, I am somewhat sterotyping, I felt
SO SO SO SEXY WHEN I WAS PREGNANT, and know I wasn’t the only one who thought that!
    cheers to all lovely ladies……
    we are sexy! xoxoxo

Like moms and moms-to-be your video ROCKS!!!!!!

An outstanding concept that brings out of the closet many points I have seen shared here on SOAM. Comedy that makes one think is one of my favorite and I feel some of the best comedy. Your video did a splendid job in hopefully getting people to open their eyes and think differently (it can happen, right?).

Ms. Roshar best wishes to you and your young family. You have a fan for life!!! Not just me either, your little one too!!!

    MOMS ROCK!!!!!

I’m sure that a substantial proportion of men consider pregnant ladies attractive – I certainly do – but there’s probably a tendency to feel it’s ‘improper’ to be too forward and complimentary to a woman who is conspicuously pregnant. But surely a key factor is that pregnany is a very overt sign that a woman is likely to already be in a relationship, as well someone who fairly soon will be taking on the responsibility of being a mother, if she hasn’t already.

Whilst I appreciate that the video makes some points in a fun way and shouldn’t be taken too seriously, it implies that the women seen are communicating that they are single and eager to receive attention from men, so I’m not sure if all pregnant ladies would be completely comfortable if it generally transformed the attitudes of men in this way!

Love it. I felt this way when I was pregnant with my first, I couldn’t get enough of my husband, lol. But my second pregancy I couldn’t get far enough away from men, sex was the last thing on my mind.

Pregnant woman are just as sexy and I got lots of complements when I was pregnant from men. They would walk up and tell me I looked beautiful or that they though pregnancy was beautiful.

It really bothers me those men who are uncomfertable with pregnancy, breastfeeding, menstration, ect. Whats wrong with them!?! Woman are beautiful and our bodies do amazing things.
