I posted this on my blog about a year and a half ago. It was my way to make amends with my body.
I didn’t take any photos of myself during that time. I actually hid from the camera by always being the photographer.
I was 34 years old when I wrote this (now almost 36). This was my first pregnancy and first birth.
Very beautifully written. Congrats on you baby girl, it sounds like you waited a long time to have her here, and now she is a blessing. I am almost 2 years pp with my 2nd, and I am still being patient with my body! It takes time, but with healthy eating, and being physically active, we will get the healthy body that we deserve and need to keep up with our toddlers! I am sure you are beautiful…you certainly sound it :)
