This is an update from my previous submission. I haven’t really changed my eating habits, I eat as best I can and I still cant motivate myself to exercise on a regular basis..actually I gained some weight since the last entry. When the entry was written I weighed 116, now I jump between 118-120 depending on the day. The pictures from my first entry weren’t very clear so you couldn’t see the stretch marks on my stomach but they made me really self conscious. I use to think even if maybe I lost the weight, my stomach would still be covered in stretch marks so I would be too embarrassed to wear a bikini. Throughout my pregnancy and after giving birth I tried so many stretch creams I lost count.I would look at other moms with clear stomach and think how absolutely unfair it was that I spent all this money to “prevent” and “treat” tummy stretch marks and mine looked like it had been mauled by a cat. That along with the cottage cheese effect of losing weight made me feel like crap when I looked at my stomach. Well, I am a review junkie and started reading reviews about Bio Oil so I figured maybe just maybe it would make a difference. I began using Walgreens version of Bio Oil (same ingredients) on my stomach Feb 17,2010. I have been using it twice a day and decided to take pictures to see if I saw a difference. This sounds like an ad for bio oil..lol! Its not, its just that I wanted to share a product with you girls. Well, here are my pics..I see a difference, not huge but noticeable..tell me what you ladies think..
Pic# 1 Feb 17th 2010 first day I started using it. I was pretty bloated.

it does look better! But I do not think you had a lot to begin with…you should see my belly!!!!
Wow! Just a month? That’s pretty neat! I dont mind my stretchmarks, just the extra bit of skin from them. But you look great! I would definitely jump into a bikini this year! You look a bit tanner too (between the two sets of pics).. do you tan?
it looks airbrushed. which is a good thing i guess? i do see a difference. you weren’t bad off to begin with though:)
I don’t think any oils and creams help – it depends on the elasticity of your skin and the underlying surface -but that’s just my opinion. But bio oil or any good moisturiser will improve your skin and help keep it soft. You look good so whatever you are doing feel good about it.
Oh my gosh, it does look better! I didn’t think bio oil worked, but I guess I’ll be getting myself some!
This is my submission: to answer your question no I don’t tan. My skin color is medium light and all the pictures were taken in front of the same wall around the same time. In the first pictures, the camera flash reflected on the “lightest” part of my tummy which is caused by the white stretch marks around my belly button. With bio oil, the stretch marks blended into my skin color creating a more uniform color so the camera had nothing “white” to capture in the center. Thats why it looks like I have a tan, because my skin is more even now…yay!
I’ve also been using bio oil for about a month now and i can really see a difference as well… it really does seem to help the stretch marks blend in with the rest of ur skin better… it’s also improving the wrinkly look i had going on in that area…
I completely agree – Bio Oil is great! I had my first child when I was 38. I used Bio Oil and did not have any stretch marks at all, which I was not expecting – especially as an older mom. None on my stomach or breasts or anywhere. The resident who checked my scar at the hospital even commented on the lack of stretchmarks. I use Bio Oil to soften the C-section scar and apply at tiny bit at night to my under-eye area. Some of aging is to do with genetics and the care you take (I always wear sunscreen and protect my skin), but I really think that the oil helps keep smooth skin, too. It’s a fabulous product.
Woooooww…..
bio oil did all of that????????
Is this true? How did you apply it and how often?
