I am a 22 year old mom of triplets (also non-IVF) I had been married only 2 months when we found out we were expecting. After two ultrasounds of one baby–triplets! I carried them to full term for triplets–36 weeks– and gained 80 lbs. I went from a size 6 to 230lbs on delivery day. After 3 months I was back in my size 6 jeans so I think a lot must have been swelling. Healthy babied did come with a heavy price tag on my body. My abdominals split 6″ apart leaving me at dangerous risk of a hernia. I had to have them sewn back together and got 5lbs of skin cut off as well. I hated my saggy skin every day especially being so young so surgery was not only medically the way to go for me but self esteem wise. Here is my pictures of pregnancy, post partum, surgery and post surgery. Enjoy! I’m baring it all for you. Hope this touches someone like all the other posts have touched me.
Whoa! You look amazing!! That’s incredible that you got pregnant with triplets naturally! Thank you for posting!!!
Wow your amazing! Triplets three time the love!
You look great after you rtummy tuck, I’m also getting a tummy tuck too! How was your recovery? How did you handle the babies and recovery?
Wow you look amazing!! The way your belly used to look like is what I look like now. I have three children ages two four and six. I hope to get surgery like you. Thank you for your post it was exactly what I was looking for since I the only place I gained weight was my belly. I have tons of loose skin. Your babies are beautiful!
Hun you look great! I understand its hard to look down and im glad you did something (for you). I am 21 years old and have had 3 kids (two different pregnancies) and can’t afford the surgery. Someday. :) You look great and good job bringing 3 healthy babies into this world
Ok, so I was expecting some horrendous “before” pics….But even before surgery, you looked hot!!! Now you you look even more awesome! Congrats on the full term triplets!
Wow thats amazing. I think you looked really good even before your repair surgery. Best wishes to you and your family.
wow, you look great! i understand, I will be getting a breast augmentation after Im done nursing. I gained 50 lbs with my 1st and 70 lbs with my second baby, I was huge. My belly was almost as big as yours with both of my pregnancies. they were both big babies. i submitted a post and hopefully it will be up soon. its titled comfortable in this skin.
Congratulations! You and your babies are beautiful.
My stomach looks JUST like yours before your surgery! I had a 10 lbs son and am tiny (a size 2 before pregnancy – a size 4 afterward – despite being BELOW my pre-pregnancy weight). I’ve often contemplated getting surgery, especially when I’m tucking my skin into my waistband in the mornings as I dress. I’m glad that you did what was right for you – medically and cosmetically.
wow! I’m surprised at how great you looked before! but the surgery makes such a differance! makes me want to get it too! you look GREAT!
I only had one baby and my stomach looks just like yours prior to the surgery. You look amazing!
OMG! Way to go mamma! You carried and delivered 3 healthy babies!! Your belly was actually pretty good looking for having 3 little ones in there! Thats impressive! Thanks for sharing your before and after.. as I am saving for a TT as well…
I only had one in there.. but check it out..
«3 years later and still this??..)
Wow! What an amazing journey you’ve been through. It was very courageous of you to post all these pictures. I really enjoyed the pictorial from pregnancy to post-op. I love the picture of hubby showing off your beautiful babies. Congratulations and good luck to you as you travel on in your already remarkable life.
The fact that you could create and carry triplets shows how amazing women’s bodies are. Your husband must be eternally grateful for what you’re done!
Can you please post more pre and postpartum as well as pre and post op?
Congrats on your beautiful triplets! Your pre-tuck belly looks like mine. I carried twins to 39 weeks and I hate the results (but adore my twins!)! I have been looking at having surgery but am still tossing up… mmmm will have to show my husband your pics.
Hey –
Were you on Dr.Phil today? I saw the same prego picture! You look great! Your babies are adorable. Thanks for sharing your story. Where did you get your tummy tuck done? I would love to have one as well.
Hey! I just saw you on Dr. Phil! Thats cool! I feel like I know you :).
hi!! the last pics are after plastic operation?? i’ve got hernia and diastasis, more or less same looking than you before… with navel outside. Is this the result of the operation? I only know a person who passed the operation and now you!! the result is perfect! i wait impatient the day i decide to repair it…
congrats for your three i can’t imagine all the job they make hehehe, of course they would need all your loving time, hehehe
now… somebody have repaired it and have had babies again? normally doctors said is better to wait to repair the time after finish having all babies you prefer… what do you think??
Kisses for all and sorry again for the mistakes (remember i’m spanish! :) )
This pic looks exactly like mine!!!! Except you had three babies at once and I had two seperatly.
this is amazing. you are incredible.
I saw you on Dr. Phil too. You looked so cute!
I can’t even comprehend carrying 3 to term! Or caring for 3 infants! I only have one and I’m exhausted! You must be super-mom!
Triplets! Wow!!! What a blessing!
What a great story. Congratulations! I too am carrying triples & this is my 1st pregnancy. I hope to get back to my original size at the end just as you did. I wanted to ask what foods you ate. I am only 25lbs heavier at 5 1/2 months & i desperately want to gain the lbs as i was told it will help to keep them in longer! Docs told me a minimum of 50lbs but i am finding it harder and harder to eat as they push against my stomach. Any guidence would be great! thank you Kathleen
Wow you are really amazing. Good job carrying those babies to term. I would love to know their birth weights.
You’re pp body is just amazing. Even before the sergery you look great. I can’t believe your belly got flat that fast!
WOW! I’m the homebirthing triplet mom featured on here. :) I LOVE your after surgery stomach! That gives me great hope I can have a cute tummy again. Just wow.
WOW! Congrats!!! Looks like you were all baby..babies. O-k this has officially scared the day light out of me… found out this past Friday. Although, I just want to be able to carry mine full term(close to it) and they all be healthy. Non-IVF pregnant with triplets too.(7sets on both sides & 2 set triplets) , but based on pics have a few questions… Did you have triplets or twins in the family? Did you wear a pregnancy girdle? How did you make sure you ate enough for all of them? How did you exercise? Did you have natural birth?
Wow I must say regardless of your corrective surgery you look amazing! Congrats!
I also have natural triplet! and im 22 lol you look great after carrying them so long my babies wanted to come out at 30 weeks so you are very lucky to have kept them so long! My body definately didnt bounce back like yours did and i just had my 4th baby so i have 4 in diapers still i cant wait to lose the weight! congrats on your healthy babies!
Wow, you are a very strong person. You give me hope and encouragement just from your strength. Thank-you!
Wow you’re amazing!! I’m a mother of 3 too, I have a 4 year old daughter and I had twins a little over a year ago and my stomache looks alot like yours did but it pokes out more..Did you have alot of help while you were recovering? I had scheduled my appointment already, but the financing fell through.. Also did you need mesh to repair that large of a diastasis separation? I was told I’d need mesh or alloderm (cadaver skin) to repair my separated muscles..let me know if there’s hope otherwise!!
Your pre-surgery pics look better than my belly 20 months after giving birth–and I only gave birth to one baby! Wish I could also do surgery–but can’t–too expensive and also too risky for me. You look nice.
Yes, I was the one on Dr. Phil, that’s so funny that you all recognized my pictures.
When I had just had the triplets back in March 2008 I stumbled across this web site and it made me feel SO much better about myself. I really felt that I wasn’t alone and that gave me strength. The makes of this web site should be commended for their efforts. Well done lady! :-)
I recommend reading Dr. B. Luke’s book on multiples. I think it’s called When your expecting Twins, Triplets and Quads. I totally credit this book as one of the reasons I was able to carry them so long and their birthweights. You have to eat like a crazy 8,000 calories per day and I ended up taking her suggestions and eating ice cream every night and carrying snickers bars in my purse. Triplet pregnancies are about getting all those precious calories in, she recommends not wasting space on salads that give no calories to the three babies. It’s a total crazy way of eating, that WORKS for multiples. Her clinic has the highest multiple birth weights in the country. Her book will answer all your questions.
Yes, I do have multiples in my family (both sides) though not in the past few generations and I was not aware of this fact until my gandpa only told me in May!
I did wear a girdle to save my back but once you have, say, over 18 lbs in front nothing helps, to be honest. I was in a wheelchair at the end because of all the weight in front. I could not walk long distances aka my apartment to the car port.
I was told not to exercise only walk to prevent blood clots.
Thank you all for the kind wishes and encouragement. May you all find the path that is right for you. :-)
P.S. I got my tummy tuck done in San Francisco at Kaiser, it was not covered by insurance, sadly, despite the severe muscle separation. It was about $7,500. You can look at more of my after surgery healing pictures for those of you considering a TT at http://www.picturetrail.com/tripletmom08
wow congrates on your babys and you look amazing im pregnant with only one baby its my first one and im 4 months pregnant im a little nervous but im sure ill be ok im only pushing one you did it 3 times so ill be ok so how are your little ones doing have a wonderful day
I also had non IVF triplets – when my oldest son had just turned one! 4 kids under the age of 2 really was alot of work – but I can honestly say that they’ve been the BEST blessing my husband and I have ever received!
They are now 4 years old and I just recently (2 weeks ago) had abdominal reconstruction (because of the seperation) plus a abdominalplasty surgery – I have not been able to move much let alone enjoy the new tummy – but it’s something I really want to do – I weighed 230lbs when I gave birth to my litlle angels and I am usually 140lbs – what a number it did on my body!
Your results look grea – I am hoping for the same – Congrats & Enjoy your wonderful family :)
Wow! I’m 20-years-old and have a four month old and just yesterday found out I’m having triplets…TRIPLETS!!! My husband and I really did our best not to get pregnant buuuutt…yea.Im soo super jealous of your figure and now I have some ype of hope of looking sexy again. Congrats and be blessed!
this post has made me feel so much better, thank you!!!! i am 22 years old and have 2 year old twins, i have also just found out that i am pregnant with triplets!!! after getting over the shock of it i began to get frightened as like you i am only a size 6. The thought of carrying the triplets was really frightening me. i carried the twins to 38weeks and put on 4 and half stone! i lost all this within three months of giving birth and went back to my size 6 jeans however i no this is not going to be the case after having the triplets, i just hope that i can carry them as far as possible :-) x

Wow. That’s amazing . Im 24 have a three yr old.a.seven mnth old an just found out.I was pregnant with triplets!!! Flipping out!!!! I can’t believe it and like you I did nooooo ivf. Any advice ill take because right.now I’m seven weeks I start seeing high risk next week
Wow! Congrats. I am a triplet myself, 30 years old. My mom had 3 children, all girls, then got pregnant naturally with us triplets. In 1982, you didn’t take many pictures of your belly but we have a few and my moms belly was huge! She looked so good after we were born, without surgery. She still looks good but does have a little belly on her from all the kids. Best advice I can give from being a triplet is to not dress them up the same. Let them be themselves, they are all different little people.
Hiya ,I have just discovered i am expecting triplets i was wondering if you could email me at gharveystar@yahoo.co.uk for some advice & support thank you so much x
Hello! Im a proud mother of 4 children… A 6 year old sister and 9 months old triplets! My story is similar to yours…. I delivered my babies at 37 weeks completely healthy, (3kg, 2.85 kg and 2.250 kg)… I gained 26 kg, and lost 20 kg after delivering my babies…. I got my muscles separated and a umbilical hernia…. Almost a week ago (9 months from birth) i had my tummy tuck (and muscle and hernia fixed)… Im still recovering and feeling great! Cngrats!!!
You look the same as me and I’ve had 2 babies :) My muscle separation has gone from 5′ to 3′ in just 4 months since birth :)
