I never thought I would look this way (Anonymous)

I always thought 22 year olds were supposed to love their bodies and wear bikinis. Not me. After having two babies I hide my body under my husband’s shirts, and sometimes wear a girdle so people won’t see how my stomach sags. I rarely even let my husband see my stomach, and almost always wear a shirt during sex.

You’ve got it wrong. 22 year olds ON TV wear bikinis and prance around like there’s nothing in their lives that matter. We’re different. We’re moms and we live in real life. Our children are all we live for, not partying, not wearing bikinis. We’re the lucky ones!

Oh, sweetie, your post made me so sad for you. I want you to see how beautiful you are and it hurts me to hear how hard you are on yourself! You husband most likely adores your body in a whole new way, most of them think the stretch marks are an amazing reminder of what we have done for our family, and you really don’t look bad at all!!

One suggestion I want to give you is stop wearing you husbands T-Shirts, and go out and buy yourself some flattering clothes that make you feel good. It is amazing what just wearing nice clothes can do for you self confidence!! You don’t have to buy tight, form fitting clothes, if you want loose stuff you can find really nice things that are loose around the middle, but still make you feel less frumpy and more like a beautiful woman. I hope you can do that, it will make every day so much better!

I am in my early 20’s as well, and have two children, and I can tell you that the other girls our age are the ones who have something to be jealous of, I would much rather be at home with my precious children, watching them grow, than out drunk at the bar with some sleezy guys!!

Hold you head up high, you look beautiful, and you have the best gift anyone could ask for!

Don’t feel ashamed. You have two beautiful children and that’s what your belly shows. I know how you feel after two kids my body looks the same but I’ve decided I’m beautiful because I got the best thing, my kids and it was worth the changes in my body. At least you still have breasts I don’t even have those anymore after breastfeeding two babies. LOL

hi, Im 23 and expecting my second child. I wanted to say if your stretch marks bother you, and hinder your self confidence. Maybe you can try seeing a dermatologist ( skin doctor) and also try using cocoa butter for your skin, it lightens the stretch marks. They have alot of new treatments out for stretch marks, you can try laser surgery, mind you it is a little pricy. But if you are feeling ashamed, there is no point. I wish you luck, and I want to say, dont neglect yourself. When your happy, others can also feel happy too. Take pride and go buy some new clothes, new makeup. ok bye.

Honey, I can tell you that you are not alone. I have only had one child, and I’m 21 and I feel the same way about my belly. I stretched so much during my pregnancy. Your husband loves you for you not your belly. Something that I keep telling myself daily.

I know how you feel. I, too hide myself under my fiance’s big shirts. I don’t really like to wear shirts during sex, but my fiance always asks me to. As if I didn’t feel bad enough about myself on my own, my own fiance asks me to wear a shirt when we have sex. I share your feelings on how difficult it is to live in your own body after two kids.
