I can so relate to this story. I was just days shy of 18 when I birthed my daughter and weighed 228 when she was born. When she was 9 months old I moved away to college and weighed 220. I remember being so depressed as I had seen all these woman (young and older) who had been pregnant had the same time I was all trim and I thought there was something wrong with me. I buckled down and lost 100 pounds through diet and exercise over the next 16 months. It was not easy, but it was fun and rewarding.
I have had 5 more kids since then (you can see me at UBA5C) and I have gained quite a bit of weight with each other pregnancy, usually reaching ~200 for delivery. HOwever, I have always been more fit and have always eaten healthier.
I have now completed that side of my life and currently am fit and weighing about 155. I feel wonderful in my body..finally.
You can make a turn around in your body if you want to. It will take being conscious of your food choices, especially focusing on whole fruits and vegetables. And being active in whatever way you can.
But that being said, I realize now that I was just as beautiful then (as you are now) that I am now. I am simply able to move easier and accomplish things that I desired to accomplish. But the beauty does not change. It always is… and always has been.
Peace and blessings on your heart and body.
You sound just like me! I was at bout 225 when I gave birth in June 2007. It took me bout a year to lose bout 25 lbs. Now after going thru a 6 month separationand then reconciling with my husband I am back up to 230 lbs and the heaviest I have ever been. Good luck!!
thank you for your kind words and for shating your journey.
It’s great to see more full-figured ladies posting! You look beautiful! Congrats on your little one. :)
I can totally relate. I was 213 lbs when I gave birth to my daughter. She will be 10 months old next week and I now weigh around 209. I am 2 sizes bigger than I was before I got pregnant. You’re not alone!
thank you! it helps to know im not alone
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I was 150 lbs when I got pregnant. I gained over 100 lbs mostly due to pre eclampsia (and ice cream cravings.) I now weigh 233 and it’s been almost 2 years since giving birth.
I think you are beautiful and have gained weight in all the right places. You have nothing to be ashamed of.
You look just like I do right now. After my hugely uneeded section (the OB didn’t want to wait for me to labor), I really found it hard to get back in shape. She’s 8 now (yes it’s taken me that long), but I finally am starting down that long road. Dont give up on your self. You have given birth and are a mum! How amazing is that! When I look in the mirror, yes, I see all my weight, but at the same time, I see a body that carried and nurtured my baby girl and I am so fiercely proud of my stretch marks.
Take it one day at a time, one step at a time, and have faith in yourself!
to be honest I WISH i had those boobs, I hit nearly 300 this pregnancy and i have B’s! I am Jelous of your body
