Since my last entry I have had another baby! My little girl was born 4 days early so that was exciting for us and she weighed 7 lbs 4 oz. With my first pregnancy I gained 55 pounds and found it took alot of hard work to get my body back. This time I worked out my entire pregnancy and ate super healthy. I gained 21 pounds the second time around. My body really snapped back super quick this time so that was nice! It was a bit of an adjustment at first going from one child to two children, but things are going super well now! My son loves being a big brother and my little girl is getting so chubby already. Below is a picture of my belly at 39 weeks pregnant and another picture at 12 days post partum. I am now 7 weeks post partum and pretty much look and weigh the same as I did 12 days after giving birth.
Thanks to all the other moms for sharing your stories! And thank you Bonnie for creating this website. I have been coming to it for years now and I think it’s absolutely amazing and inspiring to all women, :)
Congratulations on your new baby! You look amazing, great job keeping your body so healthy. I am working out every day now…not only to finally love my body, but to recover faster when I get pregnant with baby # 3 :)
You look awesome! And congratulations on your two babies. It is a bit to adjust to two, mine are 2 years apart (2 and 4) and they are so fun now that they can play together! Good for you mama!
Your body was just made to make babies, wasn’t it? You look amazing.
Wow, thats impressive. Your body just snapped back. Just curious, what did you do for exercise during pregnancy?
Thanks!!
During my pregnancy I did my regular routine about 4 days a week for the first 3 months which was 2 weight classes a week plus at least 2-3 days of running. After 3 months I continued my cardio at least 3 times a week by using the elliptical or speedwalking for a hour in the morning while pushing the toddler in the stroller. I also did light weights (8-10 pounds) until I will 36 weeks pregnant. I also did modified pushups for as long as I could. (Probably until about 34 weeks)
You are rare! 12 days?!?! My goodness. That is awesome. You are blessed, be thankful.
Yes I am curious too, what did/do you do for exercise?
I am thankful :)
what were the weights of your babies. wondered if it made a difference? my boy was 8lb 13oz. and wondered second time around if i didnt gain as much weight would my baby be smaller?
Gaining 35 pounds EXTRA the first time didn’t make my baby any bigger. My first child was a boy and weighed 7 lbs 12 oz when he was born. My second child is a girl and she weighed 7 lbs 4 oz. She was a tiny bit smaller but still super healthy and I was healthier too.
you loook great.. keep up the good worka nd congrats on baby#2!
