Hello! I am a first time mom in need of some support while I am on my journey back to feeling good about my body again. My pre-pregnancy weight was between 130-135 (I’m 5’5). I got up to about 205lbs, gaining 70-75lbs at the end of the pregnancy. I am now 5 months PP and weigh about 160lb. Listening to other mothers has been helping me stay positive about my body. I am so grateful to have my beautiful, healthy little girl and cannot complain about my blessed life. I just want to be a healthy active mom and thought this would be a great place to keep me motivated and track my progress!!! Isn’t motherhood the best? Thanks!!!!

I know how you feel. I am 5’8 and was 132lbs when I got pregnant, 196lbs when I gave birth, and stuck at 160lbs for 3 months now. Im 7 months pp and dieting sucks!! You look great though! I don’t even see any stretch marks!! Motherhood is great!
You look GREAT for 5months PP! Your tummy is so flat already! :) I am 9months PP, put a similar amount of weight on as you, am 5’6″ and my stomach is nowhere near as nice as yours. I can’t see a single stretch mark on you either. Well done mama, you’ll be back to pre pregnancy in no time. Goodluck with it :)
Your body is amazing! 5 months PP really?? Im 4 years PP and would LOVE to look like you!!
Motherhood is great. It something new to get use to. I think you look great for 4 months. I am currently 4 month pregnant with my second and I am soo anxious to see how my body handles this pregnancy but all I can say is that we are women are truly blessed to be able to go through such great experiences :o)
you have a beautiful shape and size to you right now, but whatever makes you happy. congratulations on your weightloss and good luck.
You have a lovely shape-nice and even all over. You are not at all fat…society puts way to much pressure on us to look like children-you have a nice womanly shape…flaunt it!
wow! u look grrrreat!
I am where you are at although different weights. I am 3 mos pp and have been working out since week five. I mean hardcore working out, running, weight lifting, ect. I ussually weigh 105. I am stuck, and I mean stuck at 140. The scale has not budged. But I look better , I know I look different. Before pregnancy this much working out would have made a huge difference. Now… well I am guessing its a combination of pregnancy hormones and a different type of weight gain. so I told myself, hey I am doing the best that I can each day and I am feeling better each day. I try not to focus on how long it will take to get back to “normal” or if there is a normal to go back to. I just try to push myself each day toward that goal. It may never happen, but I have a feeling that some good will come of trying to be healthy through diet and excersize versus just lamenting what I had and may never be. you look very althetically inclined and I dont think that you are stuck . It might just take a lot of hard hard work and /or just some time. But you don’t look like you are permantly stuck with a body size. You look great by the way for having a baby. it just takes time
I am six months pp and weight 155, I’m 5’3″. I honestly haven’t worked out much, I look thick but not fat. My husband is a hardcore runner and he wants to do the Chicago marathon next year. I hope this motivates me. I have three kids and I’m working on my CMA, I’m tired. Nursing exhausts me. BUT I’m happy. My body will be okay. I turn thirty this year so I am a little freaked about the shape I’m in.
i think you have a great shape/figure, an amazingly good looking belly. I think you’re lucky, because you’re the kind of person who could workout, eat right, lose all the weight and get that pre body back (or one that’s even better)and people wont believe you had a child. I hardly see ANY stretch marks, and you’ve got nice skin. I was a runner before (I’m 37wks now w 1st) so i’d suggest that, or at least some form of cardio, some weight training and of course, eating healthy. i would suggest finding the time to have an intense work out at least 3 days a week for 45+ min (cardio 30, weights 15)and then up the amount of workouts throughout the week to 4, 5, 6… if poss. good luck and keep posting :)
you look great! i also gained about 75 lbs with my pregnancy!!at first i thought that was alot but im realizing im not the only one. my dr made a comment saying,” well we know the baby doesnt weigh 75 lbs.” thar hurt but id rather gain alot of weight and not have a perfect body after being preggo, then to have not gotten enough nutrients and have my baby unhealthy in any way. you look great! you have such a beautiful hour glass shape!
Wow, you’re skin snapped back wonderfully! I think you look amazing. Give your body a few more months, I bet some more weight will drop off, especially if you do walking/cardio. Even if you didn’t get back to pre-pregnancy weight, it wouldn’t matter, you look great!!
