I’m a 21 year old first time mum. I’ve never been skinny but mostly I accepted my body….I had more up days than down. I can’t say that I loved being pregnant, at this point I don’t want to do it again but I didn’t hate it either. I do hate what it did to my body. I gained about 35 lbs and the stretch marks appeared overnight the first time I had a larger weight increase in a week.
Strangely enough, now that my daughter is 6.5 weeks old I feel great, most days. I hate the way my body looks but I’ve been more physically active and soaking up the compliments that my daughter receives. I had a breast reduction last year, so I was unable to breast feed my daughter for longer than a week and a half. The scale is still stuck at 208 and I want to lose 30 lbs before my wedding in July. Unlike lots of women, I don’t wear my stretch marks and sagging tummy with pride. I think it’s ugly and can’t wait for the marks to fade and to reach my goal weight, or at least be able to wear regular sized pants again. I do love my daughter and I get butterflies in my stomach every time I think about how much she’s changed my life already. I’m slowly gaining confidence and self-esteem and my the time she’s old enough to know I can teach my daughter how to love herself no matter what because I will have overcome those obstacles myself.
This site is fantastic and I’m so glad to have found it….looking forward to the day that I can post my “after” pictures for the internet to see.
You look great! Congrats momma!! Please remember you are only 6 weeks out!!! You really do look great!! And they really DO fade!
I am 6 weeks 1 day postpartum so I know just where you are at. This was my third pregnancy and I am bound and determined to start working hard once i get the ok from my doc! Hang in there, it will get much better but takes time!
you look great for 6.5 weeks you will see they do fade out and you will look beautiful for you wedding i gained 71 lb with my baby so to give you in idea i am 5’3 and before baby i was 150 and got to 227 when i delivered but with exercise and a balance diet things go back to normal i have lost weigh and i am 170lb in 4 month i lost that weight … so keep the hard work and enjoy the miracle of motherhood. no every woman has the privilege to experience it.

My stretch marks looked just like yours. I say “looked” because now they are faded and I hardly notice them.
I wish you, your soon to be hubby and adorable baby the best!
WE HAVE IDENTICAL STOMACHS AND IT MAKES ME FEEL SECURE KNOWING THAT I AM NOT ALONE. I AM PREGNANT WITH MY THIRD AND HAVE GONE UP AND DOWN WITH MY WEIGHT FOR YEARS BUT MORE SO WHEN I STARTED HAVING MY CHILDREN. I LIVE IN REDONDO BEACH CALIFORNIA AND ALL YOU EVER REALLY SEE IS SKINNY SKINNY MOMS PREGNANT AND NO STRETCH MARKS. ITS UPSETTING WHEN YOU FEEL YOUR A BAD MOM FOR THE WEIGHT GAIN BECAUSE DOCS JUST GET ON ME ABOUT IT AND IT HURTS ME BUT NOW THAT I FOUND THIS SITE AND CAN SEE HOW MANY “REAL” WOMAN ARE OUT THERE THAT ARE JUST LIKE ME I FEEL BETTER AND MORE CONFIDENT. YOU LOOK GREAT AND YOU WILL BE SURPRISED AT HOW MUCH THE STRECTH MARKS LIGHTEN WITH TIME. BLESS YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL BABY
u r doing good. I look smiliar but I’m 20 months pp. u will still have things fallen in place. keep striving and remember u brought a beautiful life into this world. be proud. even if u don’t feel like it. there r women who would gladly take ur place just to have a baby
i feel xactly the same and look xactly the same @ 22 i have a 5month old and a 2year old. my stretch marks were jst the same when I had my first, they fadded loads and I startd feelng happy about my body again but it took a year at least and then i got pregnt again and feel im back at squar 1 but knowng it can be done helps heaps. it just takes time and patients :)
Its hard i knw coz i look at u and thnk its beautiful and natural but dont thnk that when I look at my own belly!!!
Your tummy is normal, your breasts look great. For me its not the stretch marks that are the hard part. The other mommas on the site are right, they do fade and you learn to accept them. The saggy skin I find hard on a daily basis, it restricts the clothes that I feel I can wear and while its not the end of the world I am very self conscious in slightly sheer clothing or anything that could cling. Not the best way to feel at the age of 22! Its all worth it though..
