When I was only 18 y/o I had my first son at 10 pounds and 22 inches. I am only 5 ft. I gained 60 pounds and wound up with nasty stretch marks. I’m now pushing 23 and it has been 4 yrs since I’ve worn a bikini. I had my daughter in june 2012. She weighed 6 lbs and left me no marks. This beginning of march 2013 I started training hard at a local gym. I do cardio and intense weight traning. I feel so let down sometimes when I look in the mirror, I hate comparing myself to friends putting sexy summer photos on their web pages. I just want to be sexy again and for my husband. My husband met me with all my marks, but hey I’m young, so why shouldn’t I get fit and prove to myself that I can do this. I’ve come a long way already….has anyone actually reduced the marks with exercise? I’m thinking of laser or bluelight therapy.
(Excuse all the upside-down photos. My computer won’t save them upright for some reason. Gah. -Bonnie)
You’re so hot.
You already look amazing if you ask me :)
I have almost an identical stomach as you! I have been struggling with it for a very long time. Please let me know if anything you try actually works!
I was looking at before/after pics of Body By Thermage on similar stomachs. That might be worth looking into? You look great BTW, weight training is paying off!
Wow, you look exactly like me!!! Sometimes I get down about my tummy too but really if you look at it objectively, your tummy actually looks really great. You can’t really see the stretch marks that much at all, and you look fit overall. I bet you would look superb in one of those swimsuits with the cut outs on the sides. I have some lingerie that is like that. I wore it the other day and I felt hot. Maybe just try that. :D Also I’ve been mixing some oil and baking soda in the bath and massaging that on my tummy. Exfoliation helps a lot for me. Overall though you really look great. I have a question though, you said your second pregnancy didn’t seem to make things worse. I’m thinking about having my second and gaining less weight and exercising through my pregnancy to avoid more stretching of my skin too much… You saying that gives me hope. lol
you have a beautiful belly and WOW those are buns of steel ; )
Thank you everyone for such positive feedback…I have since tightened my tummy a bit more and am taking msm powder. Its a vitamin that although its made for joint pain is amazing on repairing skin for a youthful effect…its definitely working….I. think its just a matter of time but I highly reccoment the msm powder. Look it up on google. I feel happy for peoples positivity I felt disgusting for so long and this is refreshing! Robyn, eating clean, a lot of abdominal work and weight training plus the msm has been great, its four weeks in, and that “wrinklyness” is subsiding dramatically. Hopefully the stretchmarks will stretch with muscle…..I lost 3 lbs in a month of pure body fat…..patience and discipline definitely work….! :-)
I am almost 22 and had my son in July 2012. I will run my first ever marathon in 20 days. I don’t have any less stretchmarks, but my stomach does look a lot flatter. I have always been a runner and I even tried to run through my pregnancy only to find that it caused me more pain than it relieved, so I resorted to water aerobics. My son was 8 1/2 lbs, 21 inches (born naturally). I have found that my story is not a glamorous one, but I have only found strength w/i myself until now. You are all trying to make yourselves better, and even though you can’t be athletes you are still trying. This in itself is very motivating for me. We will never look like what we used to, but why would we want to honestly? I love my son to the moon and back, and I always will believe that my sacrifices as an athlete are worth it 100%!
ilook great too, just the tummy….rest is toned and worked out ……. but we had choices to make …and we choose children ….life is too short to worry about parts of our body…..just enjoy it embrace it and look after it …….it one life only
