1 Year Post Partum (Anonymous)

November 30, 2007

I posted once before when I was 5 months post partum here. Now one year has passed to the day. Today my beautiful daughter is one year old! I can’t tell you how much I love and adore her. Right now she lays on daddy’s tummy and naps! My darling! Well, in the time since I posted last, I am still breastfeeding and I am aiming for 2 years now because this first year has been a breeze! My body hasn’t changed much–maybe my breasts have shrunk, though! The day I delivered I weighed 160 lbs. Today I weigh 125-128, depending on the day. And I still haven’t had my period yet! Woo hoo! :) I have included photos I took just a few minutes ago in the restroom, including front, side, and the dreaded dimply bottom. One of my breasts is lopsided because I nursed on my right side last (just as in my previous post, one is bigger b/c of nursing). Thank you for this site! I’ve shared it with countless friends of mine. It is an inspiration and a reason to be proud of everything our bodies do!

Updated here.

Thank-you for posting these. I’ve been visiting this site for a long time and this is the first time i’ve seen pictures that i could easily mistake for my own. The only difference between out bodies is my breasts are really small. Otherwise i look just like you, and i am 11 monts post partum. I weigh 125lbs also. I’m 5’2″. I have really bad cellulite on my bum and legs, and being pregnant definately made it worse. People think that if you are not “fat” then you don’t have cellulite, but that’s just not true. Nothing i do gets rid of it.
Thanks for posting, its nice to know there is someone else out there that looks like me.

While I don’t have the same body shape/size that you do (I’m waaaay bigger!), I think your body is the exact body shape and size that I would choose if I could. You are curvy and round in just the right spots. Your breasts haven’t started to sag (lucky you!) and you have a nice, round bottom. Just like a woman should have. I hope that you are proud of the body you have now. It’s lovely.

Its funny, I look like that right now. You look really good, but it kinda makes me feel bad cause my body hasn’t done anything good yet, i’m not even pregnant. But don’t get me wrong, you look awesome.

I am 13 months postpardum and I have yet to loose weight as well. I have cellulite on my legs as well. I heard that using a girdle even after a year of childbirth can still help with decreasing the size of the tummy. Idk if this is true, but if anyone’s tried it, please let me know :)
