Give Thanks

Today is Thanksgiving Day here in the US and I want to take this opportunity to ask you all – here in my country and those of you everywhere else – to leave a comment and share the things you are thankful for.

Personally, I am thankful that this website has been able to touch so many women (men & children!) all over the world. I feel blessed to be a part of this.

Have a great day to all of you!

I’m thankful for my children. Although one has a disability, I am thankful each day that she is in my life.

I am thankful for my 10 week old son, my loving husband, my family and all of my stretch marks. I wear them with pride.

I am thankful for consciousness – the ability to make decisions about how I will see myself, how I will allow others to see me, such as my husband and children, and the world around me.

I am also thankful for yoga. :o) Namaste.

I am thankful for my family, there love and their support that has made it possible for me to finish college and attend grad school. I would not be able to fulfill my dreams without them. I am also thankful for this site that is helping me to finally accept myself despite my “inperfections.”

I too am most thankful for the ability to make my own family. I have a son with a disability, and I am grateful for having him. He has taught me much about myself.

I am thankful that I have indoor plumbing and potable water, enough food to eat, and a sturdy roof over my head. I am thankful for my education and for being allowed to make decisions about my life as a woman and an autonomous adult. I am thankful every day that I can live free from fear that bodily harm might come to me, my husband, or my son through a random act of violence and cruelty perpetrated by another human being. I hope that within my lifetime, and certainly within that of my son, all people on this planet will be able to enjoy these basic human rights and freedoms. Peace to all!

    I’m grateful for hard times.

Not that I hope they’ll stay forever, -because frankly I think hard times make terrible house guests- but I’ve learned a lot directly because of them that I hadn’t learned any other way.

And also: thanks for your site, Head Mama. : )

I’m thankful for my family and for the gift of motherhood. I’m thankful that I could watch my children grow to adulthood, and thankful for the relationship I have with them now. Although things change a bit as children grow up, once a mother, always a mother.

I am thankful that God loves me and in His love He gave me salvation and in his grace He gave me five wonderful children. I’m thankful for the almost six consecutive years of breastfeeding. I’m thankful for my husband who takes care of us.
