So, a couple weeks ago now, someone sent me a link to a website with photos of Kate Hudson in a bikini and some really cruel comments about her stomach. Frankly, I had a hard time seeing what was so horrible about it (though maybe a little underweight in my opinion), but maybe my idea is a little different than most of America’s these days!
Anyway, it might be cheesy, and I know it’s not likely she’d ever even read any of the letters, but I was toying with the idea of asking the readers here to write to her. Writing to give support and thanks for being beautiful and not covering up. I thought that if we all write something similar on the envelope – or maybe use the same color envelope? – then maybe if one letter was noticed the rest would be easier to pick out, if they wanted to read more.
So, what do you think? Good idea? Lame? Opinions, please!
It’s a good idea, but I think an even better one would be to write to random celebrities asking them if they have the nerve to bare THIER stretchmarksSurely not all celebrities managed to avoid getting them? I’m sick of seeing their perfect bodies literally 4 weeks after giving birth, or after having twins! The question is, would any of them actually have the nerve?
I don’t understand–does she have stretchmarks or something? I’ve never seen a photo of her belly where it didn’t look unscathed. I would be willing to send a letter. :0)
Rebekah – the pictures were of her running and showed her skin “in motion”.
By the way, Jamie Lee Curtis did a photo shoot for More Magazine in which she revealed a little of her imperfect self. Check this link:https://ww4.lhj.com/lhj/story.jhtml?storyid=/templatedata/lhj/story/data/jamieleecurtistruethighs_08212002.xml
Kate Hudson also made no apologies for her weight gain during pregnancy (I think she gained over 50 lbs, maybe close to 80 if memory serves). I think she’s a good advocate for the beauty of pregnancy already; she’d probably embrace more letters thanking her for her stance. It could be she’s just naturally slim due to genetics and had an easier time bouncing back than other women.
That’s a good idea, but the pictures were photoshopped to make it look like she had extra skin on her stomach. The real photos show a taut tummy with no excess skin or a single stretch mark or imperfection in sight.
“…skin in motion”?What is this ‘skin’ plastered on? Skin is supposed to move isn’t it? I wasn’t aware that it was supposed to stay still forever.
I’m pretty sure the photoshoped version was in fact the one without extra skin. Here’s a link to the pics…https://hollywoodgrind.com/hg/kate-hudson-not-looking-hot-in-maui/2006/09/12/I think it would be a good idea to write to her, with a distinctive envelope or something. I’m also very tired of celebrities making pregnancy seem so easy and making us, “normal women” doubt our bodies after giving birth, as if it wasn’t normal to have extra skin, stretch marks and new curves.
i don’t think it is photoshopped. she’s running, it’s taken at the moment her foot hits the ground and her skin keeps travelling.
Where did you hear they were photoshopped to look that way? In other beach paparazzi shots, I’ve never seen her tummy look anything less than perfectly smooth. That said, I don’t think the “bad” pictures look bad at all!
I wanna see the link!!!!
I saw a pic of her today in a bikini and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mothers body that looked more unscarred. She had a perfect, stretch mark free looking body. Maybe it was touched up or something but I would have never guessed she carried a child if I didn’t know. Wow, you go, Kate!I like the idea of writing, I think she’d like that. That is a very thoughtful idea!
