Hi, this e’my first pregnancy and my breast nipples hey were always Inverted.
We know that many women leave to breastfeed their babies by reason of not having breast nipples!
I was always ashamed by tua inverted nipples I hate them I feel ashamed and so ugly.
There is little time they went out to outside. I’m afraid of not breastfeed my baby. Some mummy has or has had the same problem???
I have one nipple that is inverted, the other less so. While breastfeeding has been a little more difficult with the inverted one, it has not been impossible. Wishing you the best in your journey and don’t be afraid to ask for help in your breastfeeding journey and have patience!
I did while I was young and after the birth of my daughter. I nursed her with the use of nipple shields. The lactation consultant gave them to me and taught me how to remove them after she had a good latch so she wouldn’t become too accustomed to them. I nursed for a couple months with her and my nipples came out slightly permanently. Then after I had my son I nursed him for a year with no nipple shields they now stick out like everyone elses. You can do it you just might need a little assistance. Who doesn’t though.
Hi, my right nipple has always been inverted. I love it the way it is but it was a challenge when I breastfeed, it never really worked so I ended up buying an electrical breast-pump, and that worked fine. For 6 months I pumped out milk with this pump, so don`t worry, there is always a soloution to every challenge.
I had inverted nipples as well, until after I nursed my first child. Then they came out permanently. Nursing was very painful at first, but the discomfort went away after about a month. It was worth it. Be determined, because it may be difficult at first, but don’t let inverted nipples keep you from nursing! After my first, I nursed 3 more babies without any difficulty.
I used to have ONE inverted nipple. But breastfeeding my first daughter popped that nipple out and it hasn’t been inverted since. I had no problems breastfeeding, never used a nipple cover. Most women have more trouble than I do, I think. Maybe I was lucky? Or maybe that’s how it always is? It’s been almost 7 years since my daughter was born, so who knows? But I’d have faith in your body. Our bodies are made to feed our children. If you need to talk to a lactation consultant, definitely take advantage of her skills and expertise. :) You can do this.
I’m not sure if my nipples were inverted, but at the very least they were FLAT (like you couldn’t really tell they were there at all). I had them pierced (one for over a year, the other one for probably 4 months). While the piercings did NOT keep (one was crooked so I took it out because it started to reject plus it wasn’t all the way through my nipple, and the other one was fine… I just didn’t have the balls to get the other redone to match and I took it out because my boyfriend kept complaining) it has REALLY made my nipples stand out.
I haven’t had any kids yet, so it will be interesting to see how that goes along with breast feeding. There are still a small hole on each nipple.
Yes, i had/have one nipple like that, and it needed some time to get used to breastfeed with it, but now we are doung fine. Little one is 17 months now and still nurses…
So it is very much possible! Don’t worry!
I have inverted nipples and I nursed my son for 14 months. It was a little tricky the first few days. I had to stimulate them and pull them out but after a while they just came out on their own .. youll do great dont worry your not alone
Hiya…yes, I breastfed two children with two inverted nipples. After one breastfed baby, one is no longer inverted and the other is less inverted than before. But you should definitely stimulate them in the shower before baby is born to help lessen pain when baby goes on. Breastfeeding is painful for the first three days to two weeks with inverted nipples, but keep going and make sure you have a good latch, ie baby has a whole mouthful not just hanging off the end. good luck xxx
I had inverted nipples prior to having my baby, it took me 4 long months to get comfortable breastfeeding and for her to latch properly. For awhile i thought it was hopeless and just pumped and bottle fed. Then I thought to myself i shouldn’t give up and tried over and over and finally got her to latch properly. My daughter is 8 1/2 months now and my nipples come out on their own and don’t really look inverted anymore. Breastfeeding is a breeze now. So don’t sweat it and be persistent and you should be fine :)
