I was really inspired by your wonderful site and wrote about it (with my own pictures) on mine. http://blogs.chron.com/mamadrama/archives/2006/07/my_mask_jenny_t.htmlThanks for giving me the inspiration to embrace my “marks of motherhood”.

I’m a single girl with no close prospects of babies or marriage for that matter, though I dream of having both some day. But all I can say is thanks to all who have posted on this site…it both scares and thrills me to see what might happen to my body if I ever do have the privillage to grow a life. These stories and pictures also have helped me to realize that I’m much to critial of my body and that I need to embrace it now and forever no matter what. Thanks so much to all of you amazing ladies!

Just found this site and am amazed that they are using MY stomach on the masthead! Can’t wait to check out the photos. I think they will be ‘disturbingly beautiful.’I know some very thin women that have elephant skin now after birthing their babies. All worth it, totally!

I just wanted to say thanks for this site. I only wish I had seen it–particularly the pictures of post-partum bellies–before delivering. I loved my pregnant belly, didn’t mind my weight gain, felt maternal and sexy and voluptuous. Then immediately after I had my baby, I was disgusted by my saggy, empty–yet surprisingly big–belly. If I had been more prepared, I think I would have dealt with it better.
