My Road Map (Anonymous)

January 8, 2008

I have been on this site a few times. It is very encouraging. I am a sahm to three children ages 6, 4 and 2. I weighed about 110 pre pregnancy and at the time of delivery of my first born i weighed right at 200! My entire body ached. I wish i had been more careful. I was with my other two, but the damage was already done with my first. So here is a picture I took recently of my stretch marks. I had to work really to get off the extra weight. And i still have a few more pounds to go. I have been considering a tummy tuck but after seeing these pics, i have decided to embrace my beauty.

Wow! You would never guess that you gained 90 pounds with your first one AND have 2 other children! You look great!

I wouldn’t worry about the tummy tuck if I were you but we all have our issues to work with. It sounds like you are at peace with your decision not to. I just love this site. It’s so emotionally healing for me. I come here almost every day.

I think you are my stomach twin! My stomach looks a lot like yours, and I only have one child, so I think with you having 3 kids you look amazing!!! Say no to the tummy tuck, you look beautiful!

You look fantastic! I love your little waist and curvy hips. You do NOT need a tummy tuck.

You don’t need a tummy tuck; your figure is gorgeous! I can tell you work on your abs and obliques a lot, and I mean that in a good way. You look awesome.

I am also a mother of 3 (ages 5, 4 and 11 months). Your belly looks just like mine, it’s crazy! I also thought of getting a tummy tuck after my third was born. But, I decided to just lose the weight ( I gained about the same as you did too) and see where I got from there. Seeing another woman with the same beautiful belly made me feel a lot better about embracing the belly that motherhood has given me. You look fantastic, and you helped me a lot too! Thank you!
