my body 6 months after birth (Anonymous)

May 30, 2007

I can’t believe I’m going to post these pictures! I have always had a lot of body image issues and it has only gotten worse since my son was born. I love that my body was able to grow such a beautiful little boy but I have trouble seeing myself as desirable. As a result I can count on one hand the number of times my husband and I have been intimate since my son was born. I hope that by posting this it will help me feel more liberated and eventually I hope to see myself as beautiful.

I think you look good! Your breasts are pretty. I’ll bet your husband still finds you lovely.

    You look beautiful!
Know that a women is incredibly desirable to her man for bringing a beloved child to this earth.
They just love us and want us no matter what imperfections we may think we have. You are now a mother, and a lover. So sexy!

I think that you have a great belly! I hope mine looks that good after I have my little one. (I am currently 21 weeks pregnant!) You have very few strech marks! Did you gain much during pregnancy?

Oh my gosh! the stretch marks on your hips look exactly like the ones i had when i was pregnant! I’ve never seen pics of anyone who had them like i did :) I am now 7 months pp and they just sort of faded to silver in the last few weeks. i know what you mean about not feeling desirable with regards to your husband…i am still dealing with that myself. i think you look absolutely beautiful..i wish i had breasts like yours!

Beauty is soo subjective and I have to tell you … You are extremely desirable, sexy … womanly!!

Too bad for your husband if he doesn’t get it.

Thanks for posting those pics – I am thankful for your courage. I am 6 mos. out and fatter than I’ve ever been in my life. I am so grateful for my children and am blissed out at being a mom of a baby again, but can’t believe what has happened to my body. Your photos make me feel less alone – I know we’re not the only ones, but this kind of stuff doesn’t always get covered in the “what to expect” books!

thanks for your picture my belly is like yours and i not got those gorgeous boobs….. you are really womenly and thats a good thing …. go out and buy your self some new clothes if you can…. i am rather skint now and wish you got a discount in shops once you had a baby cos the old clothes just don’t fit. i have gone up one to two back sizes and dare not get fitted cos i will be upset but remember you are not on your own and remember you look wonderful and remember the media mums have a lot to answer for as no one looks perfect after birth unless your very lucky xxx

You look amazing. I wish I looked that good. I still have yet to get rid of some of my baby weight (son 7 months old) and I think I am pregnant again. You are beautiful

wow you have a better body then I do. To be honest I envy you for the big boobs you got and your tummy isn’t bad at all compared to mine that apart from stretch marks I also have scars on my belly button where they had to remove my gall bladder in July 2009 and in September 2010 they removed my right overy & well girl I don’t know what you worried about you have a wonderful natural body :)
