It is a striking picture, but I can’t help but feel that it is a little unnatural and monstrous…where are the arms to cradle the child? The face to gaze with tenderness and to bestow kisses? The best parts about being a mother are missing!
Wow!!! A striking pic. Fantastic angle and scale! At first glance it looked to me like a strange gourd or ceramic creation of some sort. Then of course a closer second glance and I realized..truly a gorgeous and sensual picture.
Sensual. A part of motherhood which is often forgotten about or even “taboo”.
That is a strange and stunning photo. I had to look twice to understand what I was seeing.
Hmmmmm…I had to come back multiple times to look at this one. It is pretty neat, but I have to say it looks well photoshopped…which isn’t a bad thing but if I did the same pose it wouldn’t look even 1/4 as good (and I’m a photographer…LOL). Kudos to the artist!

What I find interesting is that of all the many comments posted about this photo on Flickr, most of them are by men.
What does this say?
I’m not judging, merely observing!
There’s some discussion on flickr about this photo, apparently the person who posted it there did not take it. It’s an incredible shot, I’d like to see more of the photographers work which is why I went to flickr to see it, instead I got softcore boob shots – nice, not!
Oh well, thanks for posting it here, it is amazing.
I love this shot!
