Update (vsmama)

Original entry here.

Hi! I have a goal to feel my sexiest before my son reaches three! And he does in a little over three weeks but I’m already in such a positive state of mind. I’m very confident and excited for my continuing progress. I have such a supportive partner who is putting all they have to help me reach my goals. I still eat as I please just in moderation. I’m not a dieter type, I love food too much to think of putting a restriction. =) I work out in my home 4 times a week for 30 mins. a day with just 3lb weights as my son plays with his toys. I am very happy with the results thus far and I’m beginning to be so proud of my mommy tummy!!! Thanks for everyone’s support!

Thank you so much everyone!! I am so encouraged by your words and feel immense support:) I have made MORE changes after these photos but I won’t send any in for a few more months I don’t want to flood with my posts. I am very pleased:)

I feel so much changing not just physically and my family and friends have noticed as well. I am more at peace with my body. I found what works for my body. The gym was great for me mentally and emotionally but I wasn’t getting those target areas. I’m also more at ease being near my son and interactive with him than being away for 2 plus hours a day not counting the time to get myself situated afterwards since I am also a college student.

I started working out at home in Feb of this year for at least 4x a week and if I get too caught up some days w school and family life I don’t get discouraged, I just get back on. I keep myself positive and I feel calm because I am not rushing myself. I am going at my own pace because the changes are solely for myself. Thank you again for allowing me to share my story!! :)

Hi! Thank u:) nope I did not change my diet. Before I was pregnant I ate anything I wanted and never gained weight. Ate more than my guy friends. I didn’t even eat unhealthy during pregnancy in fact I was the most conscious of my consumption…maybe my hormones just made everything go out of wack. I also extended breast feeding so I did have to up my calorie intake. I actually have an article I took from my shape magazine with only 6 exercise moves and 4 belly busting workouts by Tracey Mallet. I have not gotten her dvds yet, but if these simple moves could do this?? Then imagine a complete dvd work out. It was an article targeting post baby bodies. I love all the leg lifts she integrates in every move and I am not at all strained on my back or my bad knee. I also only use 3 lb weights. I think once I lose all the excess weight I will get back to the gym or use heavier weights. My core is extremely strong, I just need it to show through the excess skin n weight hehe. But I’m strong and happy:)

you look wonderful and its so great that you are working out and eating healthy. just a small note though, to what you said in the above comment about lifting 3 lb weights and waiting to lift heavier unti lyou loose the excess weight… lifting heavier weights NOW will help you loose the rest of the weight faster.. you wont bulk up, its impossible for 99 percent of women to do that without steroids. but the more you challenge your muscles, youll have more muscle mass and im sure youve heard that muscle burns more calories than fat. do some googling- it will really put a jump start on the fitness :) best of luck and keep at it!!

Yeah I was doing that lifting heavier but it was making my legs bulkier. I stopped and it leaned out. I definitely get your advice so thank you so much:) I have been trying a multitude of things to work with what’s going on with this new body. I was shocked I was putting on so much weight not even eating half the quantity I did pre-preg, in fact I was eating healthier! Lol But yeah, I finally found what worked for me:) but that is great advice! :) I’ve just never been petite and even at my smallest pre preg I weighed 140’s because my muscle mass. So it was really easy for my body to rebuild that underneath the excess weight. Muscle memory?? :)

Oh and I was working out at the gym for about 5-6 months consistently..lifting weights as well as cardio…I wasn’t losing anything or that it was barely noticeable. I significantly decreased the length of my work out to 30 min. , only using 3 lb. Weights and doing different types of moves w 4 belly busters and I dropped sizes in two months. I just started to listen to my body and it worked :)

    YOU LOOK ABOSLUTELY FABULOUS!
Your outlook on getting fit for yourself is so inspiring! Keep up the good work! Congratulations on your progress! I hope to progress towards a healthier mindset like yours. I admit I do have my down moments, but I keep pushing forward and I keep striving, working out about 5-6 days a week, mediation, yoga, and YogaBootyBallet (for some fun cardio) and I can do it all with my daughter jumping in her jumperoo! (I agree I would rather be with my daughter near by too..:)
    Congrats again girl!
    You look awesome!
