Update (Anonymous)

Hi, I’ve posted 2 or 3 times before here, my last post being in March. It’s now August and my baby will be 1 year old in just a few weeks! Here’s a link to my previous submissions:

New Mommy Worried
Six Weeks Postpartum
Making Progress
More Progress!

I’ve been through a lot since my last post, my husband and I separated (we’re back together and working things out now!) and I stopped working out or doing much of anything for about 3 months while I was staying with my parents. We’ve been back together for about 2 months now and we’ve recently started a new workout program together. We’re doing P90X and it’s fantastic! We’re only on day 6 and already there is such a dramatic difference in my body! Caden was my first baby, I became pregnant aat 19 and gave birth to him at 20. It’s taken quite a while for my body to “bounce back” so I guess that myth of younger bodies bouncing back faster is wrong! The photos I’ve attached are from 8/19/08. In the comparison photo the one on the left is from December 2008 at 10 1/2 weeks PP. Today makes exactly 11 months PP! I hope my story and progress can inspire many others! I’ve also included a picture of my son. =]

I sure love that you are sharing your remarkable progress. My body has a lot of similar marks and after 4 ceseareans I had lost hope. Your posts are inspiring and you look fantastic!! Good job on all your hard work too!

Wow! Look at you! You’re so thin and you have lost all of that weight! You look amazing! What an inspiration! Thanks so much for posting this. I’m sure it’s been good news to new mommies all around! ♥ I’m glad things are working out for you! Your baby is beautiful!

Congratulations!! You look awesome :) We were belly twins there for awhile (I think I posted on most of your entries actually), but you far surpassed my efforts by 11months. After that I have to stop comparing because by 13months I was pregnant with bubby number two. Again congratulations, a lot of hard work is apparent in your great results :)

You look amazing! I wish my tummy would tone up like that…but after 2 cesareans it now has the overhang (and I’m only 23)…but they are worth it!

    Hi

    BTW you look great
Rock the X. I love P90X. I quit after finding out I was preggo with #2 but it is the best workout so far from all my beachbody products and help me shed most of my 75 lb weight gain from #1

I was wondering if any other C-Section mommies out there could help me out as to when I can start doing the X again or Insanity (Will be getting this) because this will be my first C-section. My first was a vaginal birth and I started working out 5 weeks PP.

Your belly looks 500 times better than it did in your first entry! You can barely even see the stretchmarks and the sagginess (which you were so worried about 11 months ago) is all but gone!

Judi, I was given the OK to exercise after my cesarean at my 6 week postpartum appointment–but then again, my incision was glued shut, so I didn’t have to see my doctor (to have stitches/staples removed) between leaving the hospital and 6 weeks.

When it became apparent I would have to have a C-section, I ordered a book called “The Essential C-Section Guide”, by Maureen Connolly and Dana Sullivan. It has two whole chapters on getting back in shape after a C-section, including one chapter on stuff you can do for the first six weeks. It was pretty helpful; you might want to check it out!

Do you follow any sort of diet plan? Or are you just doing the P90X? I am going to be trying the P90X…right now I do the 30 Day Shred…how long is the P90X workout video? Also, were you able to complete the whole video the first time? I hope to lose another 15 pounds! I have had 2 cesareans…I am 22 with a 6 month old and a son that would have been 3 years old this past September…Thanks!

So I’m 9 months preggers with twins… and my stretch marks look similar to your initial postings…. so seeing the improvement in ur pictures is AMAZING and makes me way less depressed.

Did you use any creams or anything? Or is that just natural fading?
