Two weeks post-partum
I submitted some pictures a few months ago while I was still pregnant. That entry is here.
I loved all of your comments so much I decided that I should submit another entry now that I’ve had my beautiful little girl. I’m currently two weeks post-partum. I gained a lot more weight with this pregnancy than I did for the first one, and it hasn’t come off as quickly as it did with the first one. I’m working really hard to get back into shape and I’m pretty happy with my progress so far.
In my first entry I wrote about being self-conscious about my small breasts. Well, right now they’re bigger than they’ve ever been and I love it (as does my hubby!). They’ve gotten much bigger and fuller than they did even with my first child. For the first time ever I feel like a real woman. I’m not sure how they’ll look when I stop nursing, but I’m enjoying them while I can!
I’ve also included one picture that’s a little bit more private, but I’m really hoping that you’ll post it. My biggest fear when I first got pregnant was that things would be ruined down there and I was never able to find any pictures to convince me otherwise. I’m hoping that my pic might be able to reassure other women that things do go back to normal down there relatively quickly.
I love reading all of your comments! Thanks.

I can’t believe you are only two weeks postpartum. You look AMAZING! I’m 10 months postpartum and I know I’ll never look anywhere near that good. My pregnant belly must have been twice as big as yours though so I guess I got a lot of extra and you didn’t. Lucky, lucky you!
Your breast now look just like mine before I got pregnant. Now they are huge and believe me too big isn’t good either.
Still can’t believe how great you look, good for you!:)

I think you look AWESOME for two weeks pp with number two! You are my inspiration for when I have number two
Makes me sad to think of my bigger milk boobs going away when I stop nursing, (i’m 6 months pp)

I dont know where women get the idea they will be ruined there after having kids, I have had 2 kids and my hubby says things look great and im more tighter than before kids (though not sure how to take that, lol), my friends who have had natural births say the same thing, that they look the same down there after kids too, its a giant myth and women shoudlnt be afraid of having natural births as opposed to c-sections.

I’ve been reading this site for 2 years, and you are the closest to my “body twin” that I have seen. And you know what? I think you look beautiful! So, I must look beautiful too!

You look great! My boobs didn’t go completely away but they did sag some. However, slightly saggy bigger boobs are better then the almost non-existent ones I had. In all your photos you never showed how your butt handled the pregnancies. Mine dropped a little but is still decent. Could you include a picture of your butt in your next update? Judging by picture #4, you aren’t shy. LOL

i’ve never actually seen breasts that looked like mine before, lol. it’s kinda neat
For two weeks PP i PRAY i look that good. i don’t think my genetics are all that forgiving, but i’ve done my best to stay in shape and eat right throughout my pregnancy– i’m 30 weeks and have gained about 17lbs so far.
Annon. is right: you’re my inspiration!

First of all, you had the most perfect pregnant body! Lucky lady! Second of all, you look simply AMAZING at just two weeks postpartum. I honestly wouldn’t believe that you were just two weeks out if you didn’t put that in there. And as far as small breasts go, mine are AA and I love them! Just think: Gravity won’t make them sag as much as larger breasts! hehe
And! Bras are cheaper!
Keep up the great work with working on your body image! Thanks for updating!

Recently while having dinner with two friends (a D-cup and an A/B cup), we got to discussing boobs (somehow that always happens with these two ladies, don’t know why!). The larger girl pointed out that the smaller girl can wear sundresses without a bra if she wants to, buy bras anywhere and for cheap, and fit just about any shirt. The smaller girl said she’d never thought about it that way before and now loves her small breasts. Yours are lovely and I’d trade you my 34H’s in a heartbeat!

Heather, it is not a giant myth to me. Mine never went back to normal. It does not effect my sex life with my husband, but I am way to aware of it because it looks so different now. If I were to have a vaginal delivery again, I would, because it was worth the experience. As for the woman in the photos, yes, you look great.

you look wonderful! but it is not a myth…i have friends who say they do not look or feel the same down there after having vaginal deliveries. others made out fine. i’ve unfortunately had to have csections (not by choice by need) so i don’t have experience w/ the topic personally. just like some people make out w/o stretchmarks…doesn’t make it a myth that it happens to people. i’m also very confused about how showing the pic proves that someone hasn’t had any issues w/ becoming less tight…
but i can’t believe you’re only 2 weeks PP!! you look great!

I was online looking for boobs after kids…I’m glad I foudn yours! They looklike mine! *but firmer…lol.* Thanks…you look awesome.

Jen, I think to show how the vulva/vagina changes you would need to show a photo of it with the legs spread. With the labia lips together, it looks quite normal. With them apart, you get a different picture all together.

I’ve never heard of your privates changing after a baby. i don’t think mine really did. i mean at first i wasn’t as able to control the pee flow but that got better really quickly. hmmm. now we have to worry about what we look like down there too?! jeez.

good point kelly. that’s kind of why i don’t get why pictures like this (which have been posted at least one time before) really help prove anything about tightness, etc. though. though i applaud the poster for wanting to show that vaginal deliveries should not be avoided for reasons other than medical necessity.
and i agree w/ mary…great, one more body part to have to worry about! i’m just trying to come to terms w/ how the rest of my body looks after 3 csections…

Mary, you would know it if it did. And, when I saw mine, I cried. I’ve “gotten over it” for the most part. I don’t like the new look and it’s newer function, but I can deal with it. Also, I never once thought about it when I was pregnant. I just wanted a VBAC. I got the VBAC and things really changed down there! Consider yourself lucky. BTW, my husband doesn’t care how it looks, it still works for him!!

Oh my gosh, you are so tiny!!! You look great mama! What a cute little tummy!

Ok, so it happened (to me)and it is not the end of the world. My first was a quick labor and natural birth, and everything was fine, but my second labor was superquick – about 45 mins – and believe me, that just does not let your body get ready in time. After the damage down there (don’t worry if you are pregnant and reading this, with everything else going on down there, you don’t actually feel it at the time), I’m surprised I have any feeling left at all. It has definitely improved over time. But, guess what? It does not actually matter. Everything is different now, so I just “go with the flow.” It’s all part of motherhood and the changes in ourselves, and my little angels are worth it.

PS. I hope I did not put anyone off having a vaginal delivery, they were both the most amazing experiences of my life (I now it sounds crazy, but that’s how I feel) and I would never want to go back and change a thing. And my husband feels the way yours does, Heather.
