Trying to see myself within myself. (Anonymous)

I am 32 weeks pregnanct with my second child and have struggled to feel beautiful throughout this pregnancy. I am far away from home, and though I have a few close women friends out here, I am missing the warm envelope of my loving “village” back home. I have fought with myself for 7 months trying to see myself as beautiful, and I finally decided to make myself feel that way. So, with the help of a camera and many hours playing with photoshop filters, I created these. I did not photoshop out any of my buldges, or reduce the shape of my thighs, I simply let myself play with color and light, to create some art out of this second pregnancy. Thank you for providing a place where women can express themselves.

it’s extremely difficult to be away from home and from your loved ones and away from everything that’s dear to you. and it all hits you more during the process of pregnancy, birth and raising your new born. I have not yet found a solution for these and I am at the stage of thinking about my second child and a little fearing that it will all be the same again, lonely, quiet, dark… at the other end of the world. but i’m trusting that fate’s imagination is more colorful than mine :o)) and you shall too. you are now and will be after birth as well absoultely beautilful.

LOVE the pics! I use Photoshop all the time and I’ve always loved doing the whole comic book/cartoon type images on friends photos. You just took it to the next level and gave me great ideas!
    Absolutely beautiful!
