My Amazing Weird Body (Anonymous)

Hi! Your website is so wonderful- thank you for encouraging moms to appreciate and accept the bodies God gave them and their amazing ability to give birth to His precious children! I am the proud mommy to four beautiful boys! I’m posting today becasue I’ve not yet seen anyone on the site that has my same umm, er.. ‘unusual’ shape. I hope my pictures will help those ‘skinny girls with a tiny pooch’ appreciate what they have! And the meatier ones realized they’re not alone. My oldest (now 7) was a vag delivery at 9 lbs. 2 oz.; then came twins (emergency c-section) at 3 lbs. 7 oz. and 5 lbs. 13 oz. and the baby just turned a year in May (another c-section) 7 lbs. 2 oz.! Yes, I am chubby, saggy, have TONS of stretch marks, an ugly apron of fat and my butt is, well..weird and beyond description! LOL! But, my family is so worth it. I just have to do my best everyday to keep telling myself I am an amazing creature! I gave life to FOUR people with this body. And I realized (thanks to this website) that I have nice boobs! They made milk and sustained life for all of my boys- and they still look ok- not too shabby! Ladies- you are all wonderful and beautiful! Be proud of your uniqueness and love yourselves :)

I could have written that! I have 4 boys too, aged 7, then 5 year old twins by section (combined weight 14lb), and then a 4th boy who is now 11 months and was almost 10lb. I have exactly that floppy stomach too!

I think it says a lot that the first thing I noticed was your sunburn and I thought “gee, that lady needs to wear some sunscreen!” :-)

This is a great post! I’m so glad that I’m not the only one who’s body decided to do the “weird” thing too! My tummy has done the same thing, granted only after 1 c-section and I’m 10.5 months post partum now. I sometimes get all self conscious about it, (as I think all mommies get self-conscious about their bodies because they are SO vastly different than our PP bodies) BUT we have beautiful children because of it. :) You look great mama! :) Thanks for the post, and I’m glad I’m not the only one who has a silly looking tummy.

Oh and I didn’t mean anything by the “silly” comment, it was just the way I describe my body. lol Hope I didn’t offend anyone. :)

Gurl. I swear you came in my house and took pictures of me!

I did not have a c section or twins, but I have the absolute same body. I had three large kids in three years, from age 19 to 21 and it has been a major battle to feel normal and okay with my body. I really don’t know anyone with the same body as me, all my friends have snapped back and are very slim again.

Just know that I’m your twin.

Thank you for this positive submission! I am sitting here teary-eyed right now because I am having major body insecurities that I finally voiced to my husband. He is very loving, and I know he loves me the way I am, but I don’t want him to see my top half naked anymore and be disgusted by my now-saggy small breasts and protruding belly with extra skin. He has not once ever said anything negative about my body in all of our 14 years together, yet I don’t know how to get past this after recently finishing nursing again and struggling with what is left. This site is such a great way to connect with other real women who have the scars of pregnancy as well, and I think it will help me look at my own body differently. Thank you again for the positive words–I plan on taking them to heart!

I love your small waist. Your body is amazing because you are in it, it gave life to four people, and it is really pretty! You have a lovely hourglass shape and full breasts, too. Thank you for posting! I’m 41 and there is much more marked up skin to love on me than some of the tiny pooch pictures.

This is me… and thanks to everyone for your sweet comments! I hope my post helps you feel more comfortable with your own stories. I didn’t realize my pictures were so far away- esp. the butt shot! Oh well. You get the idea… a lumpy, bumpy misshapen mess. And my belly certainly is ‘silly’- that’s a great way to say it! I had to laugh about the sunscreen comment!! We had just gotten home from the lake; and I was so busy slathering up the kids I forgot about me… how typical, right? The joys of motherhood!

Wow, I thought I was alone with the “weird” body shape! I have one wonderful 7 month old who left me with almost the exact same body as you. I’m struggling to learn to accept my body, but seeing this definitely helped.. knowing I’m not alone. Thanks for having the courage to share this!

I have the same apron !! What the heck ?!? I have been reading this website for the past hour and have had so many emotions come up from reading the posts and seeing the pictures of all the mothers. We are amazing; our bodies are amazing. I used feel the same awe of what a woman’s body is capable of when I was cuddling my boys…..how easy it is to forget that feeling and focus on the not so perfect bodies. I am feeling renewed and inspired by all I have read. So, I have some extra skin hanging around (literally). I have 3 gorgeous boys to show for it ( 7,2 & 2). So, a big THANK YOU for sharing your story and pics.

I feel much better about my stomach now. I had a large baby first, 8 lbs 7 oz and twins that weighed 6 lbs each at c-section. My stomach does that weird hanging thing too (my twins are now 3 so it isn’t baby weight). But, like you, my boobs rock! PS – get some sunscreen on your back next time!!!!! You are beautiful!

I thought I was the only mother with stretch marks on my stomach and a saggy belly. I’ve been insecure about my body for 15yrs. I’m so thankful for your post. I’m encouraged and now know I’m not alone.

I still looked heavily pregnant when my son was 4 months old. It hit me hard because we moved at that time. I wanted to be back to my old figure by then, i cried long and hard. I got my figure back the first time in less than a month with no effort, i thought i would be that lucky the second time. I hated by body, it was slack and i was huge for 5’3. I had both my children in heatwaves, it was bad enough being huge because of pregnancy, but worse the second time with a body that felt like it belonged to someone else. I refused to have any more, but i would of done if i had got my figure back as fast as the first time. I envy those women who snap back after each baby, although it happened the first time, i still have the mental scar from having to flog myself for nearly a year after the second baby. Stretch marks are there, but faint now, but the memory still haunts me of being so fat and having to wear maternity clothes for so long. The two children helped to live with it, but it was my nightmare seeing other mums wearing shorts that summer and me in maternity wear after the baby. I wanted four, and i still wonder, but i was only 22 with the second one and it hit me hard.

Wow – I have just found this site and stumbled across your pictures and was amazed because I thought I was the only one who had a stomach like this!
I’m 25 have 18 month old twin girls, I have severe pre eclampsia and Oedema and by the end of the pregnancy I had a huge hard belly with a waterey sack hanging at the bottom!
Because of the pre-eclampsia I had to have a C-Sec and the result was a stomach just like yours!
I want to thank you for making me feel normal! I only have 3 close friends who also have children and they all have washboard stomachs!

I had big twins and had an apron bigger than yours. I had it surgically removed. Insurance paid for it since I was constantly getting skin infections under the apron. Surgery was nothing. So glad I did it. Good luck to you. You are beautiful.

I’m hoping to have the great boobs you and my mum have after I wean! They’re not doing bad right now so must be something about our body shapes!

I am 32 yr old and currently 18 Weeks prego with my second set of twins. The first went well and the weight did come off except the stretch marks. I will report on the looks sometime early next. I pray everyday that I get back into shape after this pregnancy but then again i realize that having carried so many people my tummy might never be normal again. As for THE AUTHOR, your post touched me because now i see how giving life can change your entire look at life. IT WAS WORTH IT THOUGH and the fact that you appreciate yourself the way you look make me wish to have the courage you have once these two arrive.Thank you.
