Body by Baby (Anonymous)

February 16, 2008

After two early miscarriages god blessed me and my husband with a beautiful baby girl. During a non-stress test at 38 weeks her heart rate dropped down into the 80′s for 8 minutes… my doctor sent me to the hospital to be induced. Our baby girl kept having decelerations in her heart rate so on Saturday December 15th I had her by c-section. I had thought I looked huge towards the end of my pregnancy (at 34 weeks my fundal height was 44 cm) and now I know why. My 5’1″ body was holding a 20″ 8 pound 7 ounce baby. My stomach is covered in stretch marks, I have a ten inch c-section scar, and a saggy baggy belly… I wouldn’t get rid of any of it…For the first time in my life I love my body.

I’m glad to hear that your C-Section went well and safely! I love your pregnant belly! I wish you could show us some post-baby photos, too. I love your little belly button! How cute! :D

Congratulations!! Very glad to hear that you and baby came out of a scary time, healthy and happy. The stretch marks will fade and the scar will shrink as you begin dropping baby weight. I’ve had two “emergency c-sections” and have two beautiful children to show for it — lucky Mommy! What a beautiful way to look at your body now. Many Blessings to all of you in your new adventure as a family, together!

you have an insulin pump!!! Me too! We use the same infusion sets. I’ve never seen anyone else with a pump. I was induced at 35 weeks and had a C section, my baby girl is doing well. Good luck!
