Blessed and Tortured (Anonymous)

January 12, 2011

Im 23 years old. I have a 3 year old son. I was 165 before pregnancy. 135 now.

I am blessed with an amazingly handsome 3 year old son and an equally amazing husband who I struggle with myself everyday. and hate that my stomach looks like a road map. Since finding this website, i’ve started to accept that i cannot change it any further than i have by healthy eating and exercise. Im learning to cope. Although i am my own worst enemy and frequently feel very depressed because of my stomach. Thank you for creating this website. I have been contemplating posting for a loong time now… well Here it goes!

Updated here and here.

You are gorgeous girl! You lost 30 pounds on top of the pregnancy weight you lost?!?!?! Amazing :) I know how you feel though. I am 24 and have had two. I had Connor in 2006 and Liam in 2009…I still do not love my body, but I am working on it. You honestly look awesome, and what a challenge it must have been to lose the weight. I have lost 60 pounds in 21 months. I had cesareans with both, so I have a slight overhang, loose skin, and LOTS of stretch marks. We did and amazing thing, created life, AND worked hard to stay healthy after :) You are beautiful :)

Wow your my belly twin! When I stand up though my extra skin looks a lot worse especially the skinnier I get. I’m 21 and I struggle all the time too! But it’s so much being the outsider looking at the pictures, than to be the one looking in the mirror. Were so hard on ourselves.. you look amazing and very thin! Maybe this will be a step towards accepting my stomach a little more… This may give me a little courage to post my story also…

I know what you mean! I look very similar to you and yet I keep wishing to be different. However, when I see you, you look beautiful! Which technically would mean we are both beautiful…it is just hard when it’s you looking at yourself in the mirror! I hope you can see how good you look!

I’m your belly twin, too!! You look amazing, thin and toned. I get what you mean about reaching a limit through diet and exercise. Right there with you. I wish we could see ourselves as others do, because your body absolutely gorgeous.

I think you look amazing! That was alot of weight to lose… you should be proud… I’ve found that the tanning bed makes my skin look nicer… So that’s something you could always give a try if you’re unhappy with it….

wow you really do look amazing. I guess we with stretchmarks must realize they wont ever really go away but maybe fade. However just be healthy and strong for ourselves will probably makes us feel better. You look great.. Congrats on the weight loss!

You look amazing! Your belly is so flat, I hope I’ll let as good as time goes by. We weight the same thing but you look skinnier that me so you’re probably taller.

You can look up my post under my name if you want. You’ll see you’re not the only with the wrinkles on your belly, but I have tons of extra skin that you don’t have.

Seriously, you look great and I’m glad you decided to share with us.
