2nd baby – 6 months pp (Anonymous)

I feel so insecure about my new post pardum body. I looked so much better after my first son, but am having a tough time losing weight after my youngest son (my oldest is 3 1/2yrs and my baby is 6months). I feel so ugly compared to many women around the city. I cannot seem to find clothes that I like, and I am feeling hopeless. I love my children with everything and would not trade them for the world, however, I would just like to look decent.

I think you do look decent, as you put it. Give yourself another 6 months before judging too hard. It has got to be hard on our bodies to keep bouncing back after each pregnancy.

You’re very beautiful and have a stunning body. And not a stunning body for a woman who’s had a 2 kids, I mean a stunning body PERIOD! Why are we so hard on ourselves and always comparing ourselves to others? IT’ll never lead to happiness, never ever never. Trust me, I outta know. But even if you must measure yourself against others, I’m sure your right up there with the hottest! So enjoy your cute little figure.

Okay, recently I had an encouter with a woman, (Im not even close to BI-sexual) she was much curvier than I. I weigh in at about 150lbs, and she had to have 30-40 lbs on me. I know when she looks in the mirror she sees fat and rolls and all that shit, but when I looked at her, I saw sexy curves, full breasts, and soft skin.
What I’m trying to say here, Is we definately are waaaaaaaaaaay to hard on ourselves, and you’d be surprised on how many men find you gorgeous, and woman too, and you should know, we are as woman, are our toughest critics!

i sit here and cry and i look at all of these women with bodies that look like mine! and, i read these messages and there IS hope!

i think you look beautiful! my belly is flabby and i’m only 2 mos. pp. i’m feeling soooo ugly and hideous. i am still 25 lbs. overweight. my milk ran dry and i am not losing weight as fast as i was when i was breastfeeding. i’m very sad, but it’s nice to see that there’s hope because my belly looks similar to yours and i think yours is soo sexy! i gained 60 lbs. with my son and most of it was fluid.
